Well, i have simple diplomacy (2.8 i guess? ), where i used TweakMB on many things, one being the RtR gained (i like fast paced games) i saw i couldn't change compansion mission RtR gain, so i simply boomed the RtR gained when married to 50 or so, thing is, now i Married Lady Elina and i got 0 RtR, we are fully married, she is in my castle, all warm and stuff

so w/o the marrying RtR boost my game is pretty much over, not even with all companion missions can i get a decent RtR, i might recruit 1-2 lords, but i doubt i can get any further...

The minimum to start my own kingdom is 20-25, ideal being (imho 30+), wich is either boring or near impossible to get, so w/o marriage RtR boost, is gonna be a longer game that i wanted :/

EDIT: i did NOT elope, i asked her father to marry her, so it's all good and happy, still no RtR gained

Actually it's pretty easy to gain RTR to 48:

When you are beginning your game, trade to gain money; while you gain money, you will pass through many towns when you can find up to 16 companions. You can send them all on quests to gather support for you. The only problem to have others in your party is:

- You can send only one each day/2 days/3 days
- Some may become upset because of what other said and don't want to go.

But the solution is pretty simple: When you find the first, send him/her to gather support. When you find the 2nd, immediately speak to him/her and if he/she says that it is too early to send another, send him/her to gather intelligence ("Do you have any connections...") While they are away, they are not affected by what others said. Only when they come back and after some time. Do the same for the 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc.

If a companion comes back from the gathering intelligence mission and he/she says it's still too early to send him/her to gather support, send him/her immediately in another gathering intel. mission. If he/she comes back again and it's again too early because you've just sent another, send again, etc.

In other words, the only companions that will be with you in your party will be the ones who you sent to gather RTR and came back and you wish to stick with them (usually we want to stick with 8 that likes or not dislikes each other). All the others will be either gathering intelligence and awaiting their turn to gather RTR, or the ones you don't want in your party, when they come back from the RTR mission, you just say you wish to separate from them.

Done! 48 RTR until day 100 and without even getting married.

Edit: Be aware that companions that don't dislike each other may still be upset because of what the other said... E.g. Matheld neither like or dislike Katrin but became upset because of something she said while gathering support to you... So it's important to not keep in your party even the ones you want with you until they complete their RTR mission.

yeh but i spent a lot to get married into the best connected familly of swadia, and i get nothing in return... kinnda blows

but is marriage suposed to NOT give RTR in this mod or did i came across a bug? i plan to start a new game, in any case, it just that it would be nice to know before i do, so i dont give away all my money for some marriage

The fact is, 48 RTR is enough for you to start your Kingdom. And as you become vassal of other Kingdoms, unless they have changed recently, every peace agreement your king makes gives you some additional RTR. In the end run, you will have more than enough, it goes up to 99 and 48 is almost half already, + the additional points you will gain from the peace agreements.

I wouldn't bother about the RTR benefits of getting married. The real benefit seems to be able to throw feasts and/or make her your minister when you start your Kingdom.

I never look much to her family, always choose the prettiest, best-looking... =P

Edit: As for your question, I don't know, I simply don't even notice if I gain any RTR and how much when I get married.

try playing female character.
the longer you wait, the more renown you have, and the more you become known as a conqueror (ie: successful captain), the less any lord wants to marry you.

got really lucky though, i couldnt find a single lord ANYWHERE that would marry me - all of them said the "sorry but you are not my kind of woman: delicate, feminine, and pure"....like wtf, douchebag....but anyway, after i usually slaughtered their army after they said that to me (if i could:wink: i kept going around, for a good 30-40+ days tbh, trying to always talk to every lord to see if i could marry one.  then...lol, i found vaegir marshall and the strongest lord of vaegirs (who was very high relation to me already) and he loved me, married, viola, took him made my own kingdom and kicked vaegir's ass (most of whom's lords had rejected me, ha ha! whose the sucker now boys?!).

so it went from being super desperate to try and wed, to finding the perfect husband.  who has a big family (who i also got to join my kingdom easily), and had lots of holdings, and armies.
but, i wont count on being that lucky next game i play a female character.  ill get married asap.

male characters have it much easier.
