But this is nothing but her personal death.

She already wasn't doing anything related to politics anymore, the only thing you're all celebrating is that she was apparently now "punished" for her crimes. Or are you just glad that her family will be missing her now?

Either way, this seems pretty horrible.

I don't quite see where I've said that . I simply stated that she shouldn't get a state funeral which she won't.

Why did the Iraqis celebrate when they toppled Saddam's statues? It wasn't really Saddam.
Her death is a symbol of the demise of her ideologies that caused suffering.

There you are wring, most conservatives seem to seek to model themselves on her, thus she lives on in spirit not body.
Lie a Sith ghost or something.

No, I've already explained in the other thread, I lived through all of it in a working class household who managed to buy their council house. Also don't try to play the down trodden working class, as you flip flop between that and showing off your Middle Class house in Say Cheese.

I tribute her achievements in making UK a country of more liberty and sane fiscal policy. I admire her leadership of UK during a very challenging time. She will always have a special place in my heart. RIP Thatcher.

From the responses so far, it seems that for some people she will always have a special place in their bile glands.

It's generally one or the other. There's hardly anyone in Britain (who knows anything about politics) who doesn't have a pretty strong opinion on Thatcher.

And it doesn't occur to any of them that this is maybe a little bit nuts and not at all productive?

Sane fiscal policy.
She destroyed an entire sector of our economy and her tax policies caused mass riots and a dramatic fall in tax collected, it damaged the governments credibility to the point that the old system was renamed and put back in.

It's fun to see the Brits as irrational dweebs and the Americans being sane for once.

We just have way more experience with this kind of crap domestically. Would have been nice to think that the rest of the world doesn't work the same way.

She ruled during the Cold War, I guess that people appreciated her more then because of her moves in that area.

Apart from Middle Class living in the country are least affected by any damage done to a Farming Community as people who actually require the services that get cut.

Government before her burned resources mantaing depleted mines, she fixed that but instead of having more resources avaible she managed to burn more resources! And the guys before her had even to deal with de-colonization. She was a joke just like good old Reagan that raised USA's debt. With both dead commies won't have anymore the topic "economic liberalism is just cutting welfare and still making debts".

Anyway I made a game and a mod about Thatcher.
The game is a rpg made in 2006. Name is GDR IMPERO. Could be difficult for non italian speaker.
The mod is made in 2009, is about C&C Generals and the name is La sfida di Balbo. Is about Balbo winning in Egypt and surviving (even recognized as sovereing nation by USA) despite Axis still lost the war. So in 1950 you can choose if help Balbo holding Libya+Egypt (that thanks oil is an avanced country) or supporting UK invasion force lead by a 25 years old Margaret Thatcher or support the rebellion leaded by the child Gheddafi but funded by USSR.

RIP the mines of the Northeast, Scotland and South Wales. RIP the textile mills of Lancashire and the Steelworks of Sheffield.

Burn in hell Thatcher.

Dat bad huh?

Nope. At worst she just accelerated the trend. Would have been ****ed when Russian and 3rd world mining geared up, and no one could compete with Chinese textiles in the 90s.
