[Map-Making] How to test a new map in siege mod ?

Hello there,

Hope this question is not too repetitive but I can't find a solution with the existent tutorials.
I'm having problems with ladders, flag and siege tower in siege mod. I made a new map and I will try if all worked fine. I'm sure to have well placed the values with the entry points (VAR 1) between 100-109 for ladders as example.

However when I started the map in a siege mod, nothing is working. Except winch and porticulis, idk why...
NB: In order to test, I've replaced the scn_multi_scene_3 (hailes castle) by my own.
Someone told me "you only can test this with a dedicated server". Is this true ?

You should do testing on a dedicated server. Not sure if you have to, but you should.
If you don't have the possibility to do so, send me a PM, I should be abled to help you out for the time of testing.

You can also test it in local host mode. What exactly is not working?

Few things that could be a problem:
- There's two types of ladders, static and raisae-ble. You will obviously want to use the ones marked with the _raise tag.
- In edit mode, you place the ladders in their end position, while the entry points point towards the direction you want to ladder to lie on the ground.
- Simply placing the entry point for the flag should be enough. Does it not show up?
- Siege tower, much like ladders, require to be set in the end-position. Their route is marked with entry points (110 to 119 I believe).

Looking at your screenshot, your entry points seem okay, so that's probably not it. Could you tell us step for step what you did to test it?

I'm already testing the map in local host. With host a game etc.
I'm using the siege_ladders, so don't think this is the problem, except if that change.
Ladders and siege tower are placed in their end position.
Entry point for the flag with id=66 is well placed and I can see the flag is created when I start the map but that's not working when I try to capture it.

ID for siege tower and others props are good.
100-109 for ladders
110-119 for tower
0 defender
32 attacker
66 flag defender

But winch and porticulis work fine.

I'm going to try. But I'm sure this was possible in the local edition mode.

There' s siege_ladder_8m and siege_ladder_8m_raise (or similar). You used the _raise ones?

What about the siege tower and flag ?
 
Maybe you have to manually place the flag props somewhere onto the map (the code will move them onto the place of the entry point 66). As for the Siege Tower, I'm not too sure unfortunately. If you used the correct siege tower props (the same the other siege scenes use) and placed those entry points, it should just work. Can't really think of anything else.

I found the problem. It's because I was using a lot of scene props used for the siege gamemode. Like headquarter pole only placed over 12 times.
I had to remove them.
