manors dont give tribuite

im talking about the small manors that you can build for 10k i currently have all the level 1 and 2 buidings and a few lvl 3 however im not getting the tribuite that the peasants talk about when you ask them to pay you in goods ive also tried changing it to gold but it just changes back to goods in a few seconds

The change happens, you get the tribute you requested, the text can't change, that's all. You get cash from the steward guy, and resources from the warehouse guy
