Managing caravans doesn't increase trade skill?

I had 3 companions manage caravans, they went back and forth between cities, one was even captured but I haven't seen any increase in exp. Does anyone else have the same problem?

Yes. I set up my first caravan today and discovered the same thing. I think it is supposed to increase trading and stewardship skill but it doesn't.

Yes, there are numerous bugs with companions' exp. We have to wait for a proper fix.

Stewardship is ONLY gained through party leadership and fulfulling quartermaster role.

My guess would be that a caravan leader would train Trade and perhaps Charm

There's probably other obscure ways to raise Stewardship. One way I've found so far is by beating Lords at board games in castle/town halls. You can beat them a max of 3 times per meeting, and the rewards for beating them seem to alternate evenly between 1 point of Stewardship level gain, 1 point of renown gain, or 1 point of personal relationship gain.

Oh, that's so good to know. I thought that this is just some fun content without real impact on the game so far.
