Making faces and more anyone have suggestions or want to comment

I am trying to make this face in mount and blade but im kinda stuck on how to do the skin overall.

Here is the face and below that will be what I have done so far.



I have done most of the details and it looks fairly good when it is ingame but when I colour droped his skin and then put it all over the face to fill in the gaps it looked kinda bad ingame, so I was wondering could anyone help me out or give hints or something. The skin is mostly the last thing I have left to do and I need it right.

Glad to see someone actually noticed that, didnt think anyone would but im keeping this under wraps until I finish it all.
Im not that good at textures and you can see by this:



I tried to texture the face myself and thats what It ended up like, obviously I didnt finish it but I used colour picker and tried to match the colour but I didnt do so well. I have photoshop but Im not that good with it, a bit confusing.

Yeah you can try that, matching the colour of the skin to the face but the reason I was trying to get the skin colour kinda like the above image was because to make it look more animeish rather than mount and blade face with changed colour skin and detail across it. I always try my best and do stuff about things that I have enjoyed watching.

Well, i don't recommend you to use a cartoonish elements, in a realistic texture. if you can find a realistic texture of this face, it could be a lot better. or you can pick up some stuff here: http://www.funtasticface.com/

Of course you could edit it in photoshop. or take each element alone and import it as a layer.

I clicked on the link and was creeped out by the website and I clicked of it right away, but thanks for trying to help. I am looking for a cartoonish face, even if it doesnt look good.

Ok I will fully texture the face without the skin changed and compare it ingame to the one you did and from there we will see what happens. I will do this now, will edit this post later.

Edit: Three pictures in total, first face with detail but no skin texture, second detail with face texture and last Athenians face texture of it.

This face is the one with detail but the face texture hasnt been changed.



Second is the face with detail and the face texture totally complete, to get the colours all over the face it took me just about two hours and that was in one go, uniterrupted. Im probably gonna have to changed the black skin texture to be a bit lighter and his eyebrows are gonna have to be changed to black.



Last is the one theAthenian done.



And what does everyone think about which one looks or suits best or maybe someone has a preference. Added a poll for a bit of fun, also the face would suit best when I have fully completed his outfit. Yea theAthenian thanks for helping anyway.

I am currently working on his hands, then Ill do his leg part then Ill look at the hat, I know but im not finished doing him fully yet. Look at the picture of his eyes the dot is very small just like in the game pictures, I originally had it bigger and changed it to make it smaller because when it was larger it didnt look as good.

I didnt want to do that cel shading thing, I have already looked at it a couple months back. Hey Specialist I have said in the other thread about the osp with the bandana but you havent replied yet, I searched through the osp's before and never found one so you could please thell me what the osp is or give link please...

Hey again sorry for double post but it was needed. Here is what I have done since the last time I posted. I did the cap with the bandana underneath, It may not look the best but its the best that I can do, the bandana also has an ear ring on it for his head (you can see that in the pictures).

Here you can see his cap and his knife. The word DUNK is on the back of his t-shirt, you can really see it in these pictures but its there.


Here you can see the AR-10.


Here you can see the M-16.


Here you can see the knife he has.


And thats about it what I have done so far, feel free to comment and express your opinions, ideas or suggestions. Dont forgot to vote in the poll at the top. I still need to move the guns to get the positions right as you can see.

Looks great! There's three things I would like to comment about though.

1)He needs to be way way more fat. Just change the size of the body.
2)Those textures look poor. They need to be more complex than just plain colors. Just make them have fabric textures and it will look way better.
3)The skin should be more yellowish and greenish.

Overally nice job. Keep modding

Yeah I agree he could be bigger but I just wanted to get it more or less done first. Ill try and get fabrics to change and see what it looks like, then would compare them both. Yeah Ill try to make the skin texture more lighter to suit him better.

I just can't settle with one D: Every time I'm like: "Oh this avy's great I'm not gonna change it" but after a few hours POOF it's gone and another one takes it's place."

Here is the new face, I made it a bit lighter do you think that suits him better. Notice the face colour is different to the arms and legs because they are clothing (just to inform you).
