Yes, what I typed just before, armagan, give us a group with 100 special members so we can join and feel special! And yes I will take hints on names. Also I would like armagan to post on this forum so we can all see what he says.

But really, no.

Having some random 'exclusive group' will most likely just alienate the newcomers and stuff. We all know each other here fairly well, and there's no point sticking a shiny badge on oneself.

Lol, that's a great idea! No. Forum moderators are chosen by a highly rigorus testing process, and are selected based on their intelligence, wisdom, and sense of responsibility... much like Jedi, in fact.

I suggested something similar to Armagan a while back, he said no. The reason for this is that it would alienate a lot of members. After thinking about it I agree with him, plus if anything is done on post count it will encourage spam, and then it becomes mine and Nair's problem.

We don't want this community to become a plutocracy.

I think that ultimately people become known for the quality of their posts. That is, if they add to the conversation, discuss things rationally, and look like they're making an effort to understand the other guy's point of view.

There are people here with relatively few posts but who seem genuinely interested in M&B and bring something that others might enjoy, find interesting, or debate. That's worth a lot more than the hundreds of single sentence posts that amount to "I agree with ^" or "That's teh wOrst"

So, you'll get recognition the old-fashioned way: you earn it.
