It feels like waste releasing hundreds and hundreds prisoners all the time. What's the point getting so many prisoners, when you need to relase them almost all? It only feels like throwing away masses of possible recruits and money (prisoner ransom).
The most boring job is to be a prisoner transporter who transports prisoners back to your faraway tons and castles, and fresh troops into your nearly empty garrisons, while your NPC vassals have all the fun battles to do.
Enable sending prisoners back to your towns and castles where there is room in prisons. You could assign one of your party companions and some troops to transport this prisoner party. Such prisoner parties would be also attractive targets to attack: you could get plenty of troops.
Generally less prisoners or more prison room and faster prisoner recruiting would be better. Now it is all huge waste.
