MP Make shield bash damage dependent on shield equipped

Currently, shield bashes are pretty much useless. They're being used only if spearman wants to get rid of the other infs.
But if you actually made shield bash damage dependent on shield weight it would actually solve 2 problems. Inf that just recklessly spam will get punished and your shield perks will make much more sense (now they're plain useless). I guess 8-10 damage would be enough (same as cav bump).
 
No. This is a really bad idea. Shield bash is unblockable and very quick (thus hard to dodge) and you can't even interrupt the other player, because his shield is up. It would only lead to players spamming shield bash. And where did you get the opinion from, that its useless now? Its absolutely not and commonly used by skilled players, to interrupt attacks and get a small window to attack, its very usefull but not overpowered at the moment, there is no change to it needed.
 
Only change i'd give to shield bashing is to give the Targe piercing damage, since it was as much of a weapon as it is a blocking tool thanks to its spike.

Nobody in competitive scenes besides spearmen uses it. There's no window to attack. It's easy to counter if you keep your distance. Actually, it's pretty simple to punish people for using it.
