Main Campaign : Aelfred hiding in his castle

Heya

Having problems continuing the main storyline

Aetheling Aelfred Aethelwulfing was at one point awarded the castle I captured for him.  (Din Bych)
            Problem is, I've finished the missions in West-frankia where I lost Godo.  I've been given the task of fetching some 12 cattle
            Is there any way to make him leave the castle? ('cause he won't) .  There was even a military campaign, but he didn't leave his castle to aid the campaign.
            Without him leaving, I won't be able to deliever the cattle, or continue the campaign

            Any ideas? ( perhaps a console code that can help?)

            I've tried suggesting him following me, something he agrees to, only to disappear if I do try bring him along, or even suggesting he go somewhere else, he still disappears

Hmm, backup your saves for thing. Then try enabling the cheat menu (google it if you don't know how) and when you talk to him you should be able to 'order' him to do something like follow you or whatever. Might work.

I had a similar issue a loooong time ago, my king went and sat inside the Isle of Mann castle for 3 months, just standing staring at a shield on the wall. I think he had a nervous breakdown or something . He did eventually leave though.
