Magorian's Ramblings: To my fellow Americans

Users who are viewing this thread

I'm not entirely sure in this should have ended up in Music, Books, and Art, but I think it fits here rather well.

I just started my own youtube channel where I plan on discussing philosophy, religion, politics, or possibly topics chosen by you. I am posting this here not only to get your input on topics, but also to get your feedback on videos I post and to discuss the subjects brought up in these videos right here. My first video is up already. As you can see, the topic is religious in nature. I would love to discuss this topic, but if you'd prefer to go ahead with suggestions, I'd be happy to hear them.

Re: Why Do Atheists Celebrate Christmas?
Convenient abortions, gay marriage, and ThePuppyTurtle
A Time for Action
The Aurora Shooting, and Gun Control
Forged by Stars
To my fellow Americans

Suggested topics:

1. The effect of video games on modern society.
2. The media.
3. Pros and cons of Fascism.
4. Hitler and religion.
5. Social repercussions of atheism.
6. America and ethics in WW2 and/or WW1
7. Music (a variety of possibilities here)
8. J. Edgar Hoover

This channel is going through a little remodeling. PM me if you want access to old work.

Aight then, nothing wrong with my speakers)

Magorian you have very soothing voice, I almost fell asleep.

Edit:
Well said. Although you know, you could've used another words based on the analogy of word  "cause" :P

Dude, you sound like this guy I know, Kevin, but you're on the opposite side of the theology standpoint. Cool.

Liking the video so far, whether or not I agree, you've got a talent for it.

EDIT: Holy **** you just quoted TVTropes. You win, man.

You might want to speak a bit louder next time. I was listening to radio at the same time, and just saw this "HI" thing, and thought "Well, hi there...".

Very quiet.

Also, you have an american accent

America rules, wooo!

Anyway, on topic:
1) As others said, the sound was very low.
2) I don't know that I've ever heard causality given as an argument in favor of creationism, but I usually don't get involved in religious debates, so I could be wrong.

No Magorian, no! Your voice should be more low pitched.  :x
That said, you'll be my american Lindybeige, you just need more video and less pictures.  :P

Please discuss your manly biceps.

"I have manly biceps." wouldn't make much of a video. Anything else you want me to add? :P

Glad you're all enjoying it, and my voice as well. Rory darling, I know you do, but there are women present. I'm not sure why it ended up so quiet. I may have to play with the mixer in Cubase. Sorry Calodine, that tends to happen when you're from America. :P

I've heard it a good few times, both in threads here on this forum and by "scholars" who regularly debate the subject.

You'll make a damn good lecturer one day if that's the route you plan on. Well delivered, succinct and clear.

This makes me very happy.

This could be very interesting to listen to, Magorian.
Indeed. From what I can hear you voice - as people have already said - is very easy to listen to. Unfortunately though, I am only using my monitor's speakers at the moment so I couldn't hear much.

I was talking to Dame. Her **** makes my day shine brighter with joy.  :|

Seriously though, I like where this is going. I'll make sure to try and gather a few thoughts and ideas for future discussions, but I imagine people here will come up with better stuff ahead of me. It'd be a shame if they don't.

The captioning should be mostly correct, according to Ljas. For those with headphones available, you should be able to turn it up enough to hear. I'm not sure why it's so quiet, but future videos won't be.

Does anyone have any comments or objections to the topic? Anything you'd like to discuss? Anything you'd like me to discuss in another video?

 My **** doesn't? :(

I look forward to whatever ideas you can come up with.
