I cant tell you how much of a disapointment it is to create a priest and not use spells. I know they start off with skill points in surgery and stuff but it would be much more fun to cast spells. spells could take up a weapon slot and there could be another weapon proficiency. Of course you could only use the amount of spells in your weapon slots. also intelegence would increase spell casting speed or something like that. And last time i heard priests are supposed to stay at the back of battle.

Youll need it, trolls throw hard.

M&b is a medieval simulator of types, and unfortunatly there wasnt magic back then. Though if you really wanted too you could mod magic.

I want to allow my halberd to slay more than one enemy with a hit! ;)
So yes Area Effects would be great.

Also no magic for native game! Would be completely stupid to add magic to it...

Well its a big conspiracy to remove the equality of horses and riders. You can hit multiple targets if its a horse + human, but you can't if its a human + human. So technically now your halbert can kill 2 targets, biased against horses ::*(

I do hope Armagan codes in area effect damage. I want fireballs and cannons.
I hope so too. I want a animation editor also so I can mod trees so that when hit enough they fall and make area damage and they can burst in flames and make the ground burn if hit with a fireball and so on. :D Magic not for the native. Currently the game is magic only in a different way (The whole world of Mount&Blade).

I want area effect for weapons, but I don't want magic in the native either.

This isn't an Excalibur simulator, and you can be Merlin (good idea for a mod though if we get area effects).

It isn't overuse of fantasy I have a problem with, it's all the cliched crud.

Magic has been suggested constantly, please do a search next time. I wouldn't mind it in a mod though, if it's done well.

regard the priest for what he was in those days, a healer, if you pick a priest then build him up to keep your party members alive so they can do most of the fighting for you.

After all magic wouldn't suit this game. unless off course you can gve me an acount of Actual magic being effectively used in battle

i think the idea of magic is really stupid this game is great how it is just like it was is the ages and it should stick to that. who agrees with me?

No magic will be added to the main game, might be modded in discussed before. Great, can we get this thread locked now? Otherwise I'll just end up flaming people.
