When I try to open the map editor by thorgrim, it just says: "Map editor has encountered aproblem and needs to close."  Suggestions?

I don't know what to say. I downloaded it, installed it, and then double click the application and it doesn't work. Ive tried redownloading and reinstalling...

have you more than one version of mount and blade. It worked fine when i just had v1.011 but now i've got 0.808 it doesn't work anymore

Yes, I explained that problem in the editor tread once. But that problem doesn't give you a warning of any kind, it just doesn't start. Unless of course you place the editor in the latest M&B you installed. Of course, then it would only edit maps of that version.

I have the same problem, i followed you advice and placed it in the mount and blade 1.011 folder, yet it still errors me....

If the problem is access violation in atioglxx.dll then you problably have the same problem I did. Fortunently, there's a solution. Download this version of the file (where I found it). Place the file in the same directory as the map editor.

That worked for me.
