DLC module configuration not working in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.
Only main game working, any DLC not working. Cannot play Viking Conquest or any installed dlc.

Just open the file "~/.mbwarband/last_module_warband" and write inside Viking Conquest.

Your problem (failing to open the configuration window) seems to be related to your Qt library version, but it's hard to say from here.
 
Im installin libqtgui4 package in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. And Warband DLC module manager not working. it crashing again.

Ubuntu 16.04 is libqtgui4, libqtgui4:i386 packages not libqt4-gui

What im writing in "~/.mbwarband/last_module_warband" file inside or filename??
 
Just type in the terminal:

echo "Viking Conquest" > ~/.mbwarband/last_module_warband

now it says ./mb_warband_linux: error while loading shared libraries: libGLEW.so.1.10: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory 

I have a libGLEW1.13 installed and cannot run the game. This is so hard.

But if im starting in Steam.  Game works now.  Thanks for help.
 
Ah, I think I know what's going on - I had the same problem and forgotten. Steam includes some libraries which the binary doesn't access when run from the command line.

Put this in a text file (I called it mb_warband.sh), in the same directory where mb_warband_linux is:

Then, even with Steam closed, you can just run it as ./mb_warband.sh

That steam directory contains the right libGLEW version, so it should work fine. Fingers crossed!

Yes it is, sadly. This causes quite a lot of crashes for many of us Linux users (some memory leak they haven't fixed yet), especially with big mods like Viking Conquest.
 
hey guy, great game, excelent expansion, glad i am able to play it in my MacBook pro now, but i have two little issues,

1.- the game crashes constantly, like about once  every hour and most of the time just when talking to my companions, i usually just reset the game and if it wont star running then i reset steam and the end of the problem for a couple of hours.

2.- (the most anoying) i happens to me than when im going into towns and atacking cityes there are certain hours of the "day" that multiple white stripes start to appear everywhere to the point where its imposibles to play the game due to these whithe stripes not allowing me to see whats happening, i have tried to turn the video options to minimum and to maximum but these keep happening,

if you could give me a hand that would be great. thanks
 
1- Saddly, unix machines have that issue managin the RAM. It was "ok" with M&B but we pushed it to the limits and there haven't been any official M&B fix.
2- That's probably something about your Graphic card drivers. Could you share your specs? Some players are having problem with Nvidia cards.

Processor: 2.5GHz intel core i5
memory:4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB

Also i discovered that most of the times my game crashes is when my dog is knocked unconciuos
you know the usual for a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012)

About your specs, It seems you are close to the edge... If your machine is running any other demanding program that takes some RAM you might find you run out of RAM really fast and the same for the graphic card. Wait for the following patches.
 
I love the game and all, but for being a thing I've paid for, I really expected less crashes and bugs. I realize my specs aren't the best, but having all the visual options down to minimum (operating at 160%) it still crashes. It happened a little now and then and I could live with it, but now I'vereached a point where I cant get further.

It's usually during a battle that the camera all of a sudden switches directions a little now and then, that's when I know all I can do is quit the game and restart. Because if I finish the battle and go to the map, it'll be all black and I won't be able to save the game.

So, issue: All of a sudden (after battle, town visit etc) map is black and when I try to save it says "Unable to save game!!"

I've seen references to a config file in this thread, but I've searched for it and can't find it.

I run a MacBook Pro mid 2012 with 12g ram.
 
Thank you for the answer Ceasar! I still cannot for the life of me find these logs however. I'm running El Capitan, maybe the logs are in a different place? In the Application Support folder there is no MBWarband-folder. Or am I not in the hidden user library? How would I find the hidden library?  :oops:

edit: Would more RAM help me, do you think?

Hi,

I just wanted to let you know that I am getting the same problem as above; in a battle, whenever my dog is knocked unconscious the game freezes, and sometimes crashes completely. It's very frustrating, keeping the dog out of battles is all well and good, but I often forget and if I select all and tell them to attack, off it goes bounding at the nearest spearman and happily killing my game.

I have a Late 2015 iMac;
3.2 GHz i5 processor
8GB 1867 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon R9 M390 2048 MB
