M&B WB☆ Body Swapping ??¿

Users who are viewing this thread

I've searched all over for this, but its kind of specific so...

▪︎I'm trying to figure out a way to assign specific body types to specific characters.. If thats possible? Is that possible - or am I just a psychopath for even contemplating such a thing?

- Oh well... Anyway,, I've made armors and swords in BRFedit and all that fun stuff, and was trying to figure out how to make different body/skeletons for different characters.. (Make men taller/shorter, thinner/fatter, & women... busty'er perhaps? Maybe a bit curvier and not so frumpy?) - I know there are mods that change body types, but I'd like to give it a go if I can

But yea, again, I wanted to know if there's a txt file or something that loads specific body types and sets them to specific characters.

--And if not... Would there be a way to just swap the bodies of two characters already in the game? For instance, could I load Jamie Lannisters body on to Tyrion's character? And vice-versa?

》》 Alright, Well any help you guys could give would be much appreciated, cause I'm banging my head against the wall on this. -thx again.

First off, we are using OpenBRF these days, it's basically a better BRFedit:

For having a different body type you need to have a new race/skin entry, so you will need the module system for that. Here is a tutorial for how to achieve that:

You also need to have your skelets at hand or edit the existing ones accordingly (with their hitboxes):

Alternatively you can just create a fat body armour which has the same skeleton and hitbox and that's about it, no big possiblities regarding height.

Ah thanks so much for the Links, yeah its been a while since I actually did any creating of armors etc.

As for the height thing, For instance in some Game of thrones mods they already have Tyrion as a dwarf - So would it be a lot of work to assign the dwarf body to another character if its already in game?

Yes, it must have been a while if you had used BRF Edit back then.

If the mod is for your personal use and you will never share its files, then you are free to borrow skeletons and meshes from an existing mod (like AWOIAF, I assume) and quickly create a new skin entry.
