M&B Warband no responding

My game won't go past the taleworlds logo. it goes to a black screen with the cursor. then when i click on the screen the cursor disappears and i have to manually close it with task manager. and it also says not responding on it. i have been researching this topic but i have yet to see a solution that makes sense. not that there isent one but i dont understand well on this. i never had this happen before on mount and blade warband. i use to play it off and on without trouble until now. someone please help me. what information should i put in this post so everyone has a clue what im talking about.

Is your graphics card drivers up to date? If you are able to see the launcher, but the game crashes after selecting "Play Mount & Blade" or after the intro video, then I would suggest that you try launching in Windowed Mode which you can do by:
Open the launcher
Select "Configure"
Select the "Video" tab
Check the "Start Windowed" checkbox
Select "OK"
You can then pop the game back in to full-screen mode by using "ALT + Enter" at the Main Menu.
