If we be  bet tester do we get Warband for free?

The reason I asked is because i don't really want to pm that Deagoth to apply if i still have to pay for it anyway even though I become a beta tester.

However, IF the Beta test goes very well and the developers feel like the Beta testers have done quite a significant job in helping to complete the game for full release than they may have some sort of a "raffle" between serial keys, and whichever serial key(s) wins will get an email with a digital copy of Warband.
However this is rare so don't expect anything.

You can look at the correct code.
The code you are looking at is probably not the serial key. Serial keys are 16 digits.

It's not a problem. A few people have made the same mistake.

The term "serial key" can often be mistaken for the "serial number" that is assigned to different types of software(commonly located under the bar code). Each serial number is unique.

The "serial key" that Taleworlds is asking for is your "CD Key"(more common term) on the back of your manual or included with your digital download purchase.
Just for future reference.
