M&B Version Nomenclature?

Well, I thought I had it figured out. When it comes to version updates, e.g. 1.11, 1.113, 1.121, etc., I thought I had the system understood.

I thought that the first number after the dot was for the major version of the game (ex. 1.121). And I thought the numbers after that were for each small update they release (ex. 1.121).

But if this is true, why do they skip numbers? E.g. the skip from 1.113 to 1.120.

Can anyone enlighten me with this?

I'm sorry, I mean't to put this in general discussion, not single player. Would the mods kindly mind moving this?

The second to last number 1.122 is changed when bigger patches are released. The very last numbers are hotfixes and such to bugs caused by the 1.1x0 patch. This is a bit simplified explanation, though.

Also, public patch version numbers might be skipped, because they are only used for internal testing and developement.
