I may be able to help you with the "Ghoulish Grunting" sounds. I am a novice producer and could probably give you a set of grunts.

Let me know what you want, and how many you need. Also let me know what format you want them in.

Thanks. I don't know what kinds of sounds I need... you got any ideas?

Wav format would be good. I can always change format/compress myself.

Would it be possible to do the Soulless by using invisible legs?

Yes and no.

It would give the impression of floating but I'm sure they'd slow down if they they move up hills. If you know soulless, their speed is constant and can travel on any land (mountians) or water (above).

sheek,

Was working on a trow, and got all the parts done. He's human size, but built like a tank. Unfortunately the material wasn't taking, and the hands are vertex animations which can't be imported yet. When I can get the texture working right, I'll post some pics.

There is no forseen chance of changing either the animation or the size of the skeletal structure. If it can be done, I'm skilled in that area, and will do what I can. but for now, it looks like beefy monsters with little hands...

ok, couldn't resist...

Had a problem with the feet too, but it was a scaling issue I'll clear up. needless to say, we could make any human sized humanoid torso. Hands are still a problem. Heads can be made as helmets.

To make this an enemy, just set the enemy type to have the body (as a unique armor, and remove the tick for mechandise), helmet, gloves (when possible) and boots. there you go. a tough looking, although short Trow...

LOL! That's amazing. Weird about the hands though and they'd need a totally new head shape.

A slightly less beefy human like that would make a good Berzerk though...

Could you make a Fir'bolg?

About the Soulless I don't think the slight discrepancy when they go up hills is a minor problem that can be improved on later. The objective is to get some momentum going. Same with Trow, they're not essential to the game. You would probably only encounter them late in the quests so it can wait.

The basic creatures (Thrall, Soulless, Ghols, Shade) should be the priority. Then go on to the more advanced creatures who can be mod easily (Fetch - except for the lightning?).

OK I'm not going to release the alpha tonight. It's too much work, it would be boring and I changed my mind about how the mod should work.

Now my idea is to have it part plot driven like Storymod. The first chapter will be introducing you to the setting.

You will be a corporal in the army in the middle of the Great War. There has recently been a 'cease-fire' between Light and Dark and the Province is trying to rebuild it's strength.

You're posted in a small town in the East of the Province. Every week there is a rotation of the garrisons of the small forts around the region. This week the Captain is too busy and you are told to lead the small detachment to check on one of the towns. On your way you notice strange signs. Before you reach the town you realise that the Dark has come back and you're unprepared.

Basically you must save the garrison and village then return to warn the Captain of what's happening.

The development of the first 'chapter' will be done in the new Fallen Lords forum which only modders will be able to enter.

The first chapter will feature only Province troops, bandits, Thrall and Soulless (if possible) so we can do it without waiting for new models.

Anyone interested in map-making, scene-making or story writing can join.

Wait, dead? Can it be?
No, no sir, it's not dead. It's resting.
So what happens if you poke it with a stick? Sorry, different reference.

Anyway, perhaps "Dead" in the title should be changed to "Resting" with mention of "no download" (there seem to be a lot of slow people around who tend to ask "where can I DL?" on unreleased mods).

Hope it does get resurrected again in the future.

Ahh, I was really looking forward to this mod. If I can be of any assistance in "resurecting" it, please let me no, but as I already told you, I am nothing but a new modder...

ok, except for the hands (still trying to work out a bug with VTA) here is another look at the trow (with head and head skin)

if this thing is on hold, then I'll wait till things start moving before I comeback and work some more mosters...

That looks cool. I like fantasy, so the inclusion of other races is a good thing for me.
How can this mod only just be going into hibernation? Winter is almost gone

What about that giant boar? i dont care about its size but i would like to fight one ever if it wasn't 2 meters tall! fighting a hoard of minoboars with my pigsticker
