A legion warrior:

Bump for the mod of the greatest game ever (after Fallout)

Try using a guard helm, heraldic armor/shield, broadsword, barefoot, leather gloves.

From the looks of the in game model (Myth:tfl), the standard footman is either bare foot or has sandals.

The heraldic shield is somewhat closer to the shape, but not the size. Should have one thick diagonal red line one the shield.

The heraldic is much closer to that used in the game except the color is off (not a checker) and doesn't have openings in the sides.

The guard helm is more accurate than the one used in the screen as the ones in the game have less of a spike. Doesn't look as Norman as I remembered, but the guard helm is as accurate as the game can get. However the peak needs to be rounded out more.

The gloves in the game cover the wearer's wrists (think Vader style).

The swords used are quite broad, so stick with the broadsword.

The Legion's color seems to be Tan/White and Red (same as on shield).

Hope this helps.

The soldiers I remember have bluish/purple armor with a white or black stripe along the shield. Are you sure you're looking at the models from the right version?

a tip would be to use the Myth 3 soundtrack music, I think it would be legal since it's been released free of charge over at fileplanet, I'm not sure though, but it would add alot more Myth-feeling to the game

I am looking at TFL. Most of the cinematics intidicate those colors. However the shield does have a black stripe instead.

Skin is tan and the robe is grey and red (the deceiver), dark purple and red (the watcher).

Just remember that the skin is not smooth due to all the stitching.

This is a better picture.

Infact this whole site has good pictures.

Damn, it appears the warriors wear scale mail and boots.

There seems to be a problem that i can see, not with the modding or sizing or anything but the gargatuan pig.

He would easily over power the smaller units. So i just want you to be carful dont make these units to powerful that they're gunna flatten the human units, sense i like to be human

Also will the dwarf thrown thingys explode? sorry if i missed i'm not gunna read like 10 pages of this stuff lol

Fetch are alien female sorceresses who have been brought into the world. The are thousands of years old. I guess their color is a dirty olive/tan, and their bodies are very wrinkled. They put their hands together in front of them as if they are praying when they release a lightning bolt from their hands. The closest animation position I can think of is the broadsword block to the side.

Nice website SEbastard

McNools, thanks I didn't know that. I'll check it out

Now that animation editing tools are out maybe it's time to resurrect this project.

Since that last post I've been experimenting a bit with the basic undead included in vanilla changing weights around and in 0731 the animation looks already a bit more shuffly.

The problem is they don't look very much like the undead in the game. They are super skinny, their faces are weird and the armor looks wrong.

I think the best would be that someone redoes the meshes and textures for them completely. Ragged style bits of armor would also help. I don't think we need new weapons for them.

Then if someone can do a basic tattooed skin texture for the Northmen and someone does a map (I can't do either) we can get a playable mod up and running.

I just need to add the towns, add a load of human troops, a bit of dialog and implement the AI town attack... that's all pretty simple stuff.

Sounds like the best mod yet, if I can be of any help please feel free to ask, although I am still a "newb modder" so I'm not sure how much I can help.

good, im glad that were seeing some progess in this mod, this is one of the two mods im anticipating greatly.

What can you do? Maps?

First screenshot is up.

If you want almost invisible body parts talk to me. Now there are so many different creatures but there is currently no way to add them all so what creatures do you plan to add if you have to choose? Those that need new body parts.

actually, there is a way to add them. I've just editted (nothing fancy yet) the black armor and added spikes.

We can't yet change the animations, or the size of the models. All models for now have to be human size. (or horse size)

Can't change the size or animation of the models?

Didn't know that... :???:

Jik, what do you think is possible to do with the current tools?

Thrall and Soulless we already know can be easily done. The Soulless would need a new face/body - I think their heads are bare skulls and torsos skeletons unlike the Thrall. It would be nice to have a particle animation when an arrow hits them like in the game, but it's not crucial.

Myrkridia need a lot of animation work. Ghols the same.

What about Shades? They'd use the basic Thrall body except they would float over the terrain instead of walking.

Fir'bolg: should be shorter, more muscly humanoids. Can that be done? If it can't it can wait and I'll use normal human models.

If we can get:
-Thrall
-Soulless
-Shades
-Warriors
-Fir'bolg
-Berzerker (with new tattoo texture)

... then I think we'll have a game.

dont forget about those big Ogres just yet tho! why not make em like a skin of a guy on a horse? xept he cant fall off? :???:

I may be able to help you with the "Ghoulish Grunting" sounds. I am a novice producer and could probably give you a set of grunts.

Let me know what you want, and how many you need. Also let me know what format you want them in.
