Dagbladet, one of Norway's largest newspapers (both online and print), have put together a Game of the Year list where Mount & Blade features prominently in tenth spot.

They also gave Mount & Blade a 5/6 earlier this year: Review.

That's great news, but you may need to clean up the URLs a bit. You've got two HTTPs on the front of both (which shouldn't be there). I tried cleaning them up myself but couldn't find the pages even when I had cleaned them up.
It's nice to know that there are some countries, at least, that don't make a habit of kissing large corporations' collective a**es, such as EA.

Thanks m'Lord! [looks around for a Norwegian dictionary, discovers he doesn't have one and adds it to Christmas list... then searches for a translator.] XD

Thanks, fixed - that's what you get when you copy/paste from a vBulletin post to SMF, I guess.

Use google translator. I am Norwegian, so I can translate the review from Dagbladet.
I fixed the words that Google Translator did not translate correctly.

Review from Dagbladet

AFTER MANY YEARS in the development of the independent developer TaleWorlds, "Mount & Blade" was dependent on an engaged and not least the paying public long before it came in the shop.

And let there be no doubt, this game carries the stamp of its indie-roots on both the positive and negative.

When you look at the screens from "Mount & Blade", it is all too easy to look at it as an outdated and shabby hobby project.

But behind the unconvincing graphics hides it a monster of an RPG with the incredible number of exciting opportunities.

IT ALL STARTED as a typical role-playing game; you create a character, give him or her a background story and some fundamental forces. Then you will be thrown into a world where five factions fighting for power over the land named Calradia.

Rent apart from the background to the conflict and the various factions, there is not an exhaustive history of "Mount & Blade."

Factions fighting and cooperate between themselves completely independent of your choices and actions, and you can always choose to associate with one of the kings, or go on the adventure of their own.

BEST GAME of two parts: a tactical map of the kingdom (where you direct the motion of you and your army) and the battle, the backbone of the game.

On foot or on horse back, it is a true pleasure to fight in this game. You can actively choose which direction you want to switch and use shields, lances, crossbows or bows.

Here there is no magic, dragons or magic strength drinks that give you superhuman powers, so you rely on the army you have accrued. This, fortunately, you can also control from a safe distance.

THE FEEL of the game live their own lives, and the freedom you get the feeling of not being tied to a storyline, can be intoxicating for some.

It may also seem meaningless, and retarding the other, so the game is not something for beginners.

But if you are tired of the tired of adventure and linear role-playing games, I do not doubt that you will found the "Mount & Blade" is absolutely king. And with a very dedicated fans, it is also no shortage of fanmodifications, which only makes the game even better.
