The dev team has been known to release new versions a couple of days BEFORE major tests and exams in certain nations .

I would bet that 1.0 will be available as soon as it is ready. In reality, the deal with the Paradox is probably aimed at targeting a market that doesn't yet know about M&B. So, releasing it on-line when it is ready to go gold, and before it's mass-copied, wouldn't be any threat to store sales.

Looking at all the low-res screens on the paradox site tells me that m&B's graphics engine has not aged that gracefully.

yea i am the same i haev been checking the site now every cuple hrs to see when the link for v1.0 comes out so far no good

beta-test 1.0???? doesn't really make sense to me 
i think it's kinda a ****ty date to be released, cuz all the schools are starting so it might affect their school learning....which is a bad thing (most ppl play games are kids i think) i think a good game should be released just before holiday or after a BIG exam, so the kids can play it 24/7 and get sick, which is what i do.
i think i only got time to play it during holidays cuz i don't wanna mess up school and join the "homeless" group.

I agree, that is why I love the fact that all schools in all countries decided to harmonize exam dates, aswell as holidays. Even though this means that I as a christian has to give up celebrating christmas and start celebrating Ramadan.
