If I lean forward, though, I can still see it. But I guess it depends on your personal monitor.

But enough of this talk heathen! Let us return to the game!

Ahem. I'll buy the box-edition regardless of Frodogorn and his eye. It's for the good of Armagan and the team, after all. It's the least I could do, to buy the game twice.

I'm more of a one night stand kind of fella when it comes to games.  I already paid for the sex, why buy them dinner too?

I'm rather greedy lately since I have to pay for a dorm room. t_t

Don't worry, I'm alright

I´d guess that 1.0 won´t be that much different to what we have now but it will be really great when the good mods get ported to 1.0 again.

Enh.

I'm more apprehensive than appreciative at the release.  My sentiments tend to be more in line with yeahchris.  From how everyone glows about Armagan, I imagine he'll continue working and updating the game even after release, at least for a little while, but I nonetheless wonder about some of the unpolished areas of the game.

If the release date is already set, I'm imagining that the final copy of the game must already be in Paradox's hands.  This will give them the time to add whatever copy protections they want and be able to print up alll the boxes, manuals and disks to have them ready to be shipped in order to be in stores at the appointed date.

I'm guessing that some of the unfinished areas will remain unfinished, and that there won't be any overhaul of any of the problematic issues.  I understand that this game has been years in the making, and I'm sure that FINALLY getting this game done and finished is the overriding passion of the entire dev team.

I'm just thinking this means problems will still be present in 1.0, which concerns me far more than cover art.

However, on the bright side, there is a pretty decent chance they'll do some work on Frodogorn's face.
I sure hope so.  I thought the artist's attitude of "If I have time I might do some work on it" to be pretty ridiculous.  I've paid contractors before (for my own game with my own money) and every one I did provided excellent and professional work, and offered to change/fix anything I wanted.

Also, on a different note, got to love publishers:
NEW YORK- July 30, 2008 – Paradox Interactive today announced the release date for their highly anticipated upcoming PC medieval, action-RPG title, Mount & Blade.

I guess Armagan and co. haven't ever made any games!?  Typical of publishers.

A Turkish game published in Sweden gets released in America before it gets released in Europe? I won't pretend I understand how this works...

Even if the game isn't completely finished and polished (though I imagine it'll be pretty shiny when it's done)...

that just means they can start on M&B 2 all the earlier  Hey, I already paid my $12. I'll buy it again though, IF there is a significant improvement over what I already have. Which there should be.

Twelve dollahs?  X.X  I should have paid sooner!  Me and my $25 charge. :[

Let's totally not derail this into a "How much did you pay for M&B" thread.

I paid $14

$11.

So far, I win for lowest. If you include tax on the boxed version, I've only paid about 1/4th of the total price! Woo!
