Big J Money
Regular

I didn't see a thread on the list of suggestions about this, so I'll start this idea up. I don't think it would be necessary to try and include this in M&B1 and I also don't think this could be modded, but if it could that would be cool.
Instead of using simply a hit points system in M&B II for when opponents strike each other, what about a two-staged damage system? The normal hit points would be a person's Blood Loss, but there would be an additional damage bar for Shock. The idea behind shock is that you take a lot more of it when you get hit, but it regenerates during the fight. But when your shock fills up, it doesn't mean that you die. Instead it means you are unable to defend yourself for a second or two.
So how do you take shock? Different weapons would deal different things. Swords would deal a lot of Blood Loss but little Shock. Hammers would deal less Blood Loss but more shock. However, while Blood Loss is protected by armor, Shock is much less protected by armor.
Ideas? Am I making sense? The idea is that the more hits you get in on an opponent past their defenses, the quicker you can finish them off because they drop their guard and you can finish them off with one quick strike into an undefended and unarmored location. This would go awesome with some of the decapitation/dismemberment systems already mentioned on this thread.
An addition to this might even be that when someone takes enough Blood Loss, their capability to resist shock goes down and they take more Shock from each hit.
