I for one like the darker textures for scenes.

Particularly for indoor scenes


I'm not crazy about the world map textures though.
Tiling,

roads have disappeared (they're still there I think but they're very faint) and the buildings/bridges are brown but in scene they're a gray colour.


I haven't tried the two test textures yet though.

Aye ..the shinyness is the problem with helmets too but not just with clothes ..i think fixing the shiny clothes will hopefullly fix this helmet problem too.
 
Btw: Why Graphical Enhancement v1.3 Hi-res version fails to download after 5-10 minutes? It doesn't happen with Standard version and Hi-res patch.
 
I like the realistic wall best, light stylised grass :smile:
but they are all good, and you can be adjusting them forever trying to find the optimal look.
 
I'm torn between Realistic and Light stylised...
I'd go with which ever one looks the sharpest in game, I can't stand blurry textures.
But as Chel says, you could be tweaking this forever.

Wall textures:
Native looks like it has more colours but little depth
1.2 looks like moldy chocolate  :wink:
1.3 & 1.4 have more depth but lost some colour
I think 1.3 with the colours of native would look nice.

Grass textures:
These look to be coming along nicely, 1.2 is particularly interesting  :smile:

Sometimes it nice to watch the grass grow  :mrgreen:
 
Good going! I tried version 1.2 but reverted due to the darker elements.

When are u going to release "realistic" and "light stylised"?
 
Finally Grahical Enhancement v1.3 hi-res verion succeed in downaloading.

Btw i found out that this "lightened up" look of closed helmets will soon dissapear after playing the game for a while. :smile:
Also this "lightened up" problem is connected with dynamic light because when i turned it off the helmet problem were gone too.
 
Yes and when you uninstall your textures the old ones come back but I think thats impossible  :neutral:

I'll look into it, even though unzipping the mod into your M&B main directory is 100x more simple than me having to figure out how to modify the script to back up the original texture files, install the new ones, uninstall the new ones and move the original ones back  :smile: On the other hand if I can set up a script that can switch in sets of textures based on the options the user selects then it will be worthwhile.
 
would you mind making it so that one can choose the install folder oneself (some mods dont let you do this)
since im just using this with mods i feel that i dont want to install it to the native folder (might need to overwrite something in the mod folder)
 
The new 1.4 textures are amazing! Absolutely great work, Have you thought about updating, stylizing the clothing, sometimes it can look a bit odd against these textures? Great work! Keep it up.

TheTruth try this with band of Warriors mod, a lot of the armors in the mod go great with this,including the most of the vanilla ones which are retextured.
