Downloaded your pack and I must say you have some pretty good textures in there, but they're all incredibly dark. All your screenshots also look very dark... I would advise you to calibrate your monitor before working on textures...

I hope you take this as constructive criticism, as it's intended to be

I tweaked some of the ground textures you used, to see how they would look if they weren't so dark. I also desaturated the colors and sharpened them up a bit, here are the results:

They'll probably look too bright with your current monitor settings, but I think they don't look bad on this "light" version

italiano i used your textures right but why are the walls yellow did i do something wrong???
but still your textures are great man the best so far

I think it looks great! Maybe a bit dark when compared to native textures (I know you like it that way), but I think it looks very realistic

I'm going to have to use this in my mod now (I'll credit you of course ). Such an amazing idea for an enhancement, and brilliantly pulled off too. Very well done . Merry Christmas!

I have no problems with that, it's just that it might be a problem including it in a mod. Some people will want to use the hi-res version while others will use the lo-res version, so a mod would either need to include both (which will add 75+mb to the download) or just one version even though many people might want to use the other version. It wouldn't be so much of a problem if the impact of performance wasn't significant but I imagine it will be on slower systems.

I see where your coming from. Maybe I'll recommend it in the readme and download page. Gives people the option that way without making the download huge.

The textures are too dark for me. Characters stand out of the landscape and it doesn't look as natural as native.

For people who want a darker game.

Great textures.
However on dx7 several armors pieces shine to much eg: nomad coat, coat of plates, iron greaves (dunno about others) and quivers shine too.
Got around it by combing both your texture packs and skipping several files so its no prob.

When I installed 1.3 the map icons were the same as vanilla.
Must have skipped them by accident along with the armor textures.

Maybe you can include Guspav's shiny armor fix with this mod? (for dx7 shader users)

1.3 looks very nice italiano.
I've inlcuded most of the non-item textures in my mod

Is there a lighter version, where everything isn't so dark? I love these, but they are just to dark .

I join the bandwagon campaigning for a lighter version!
Good work btw Italiano!

I would also like a lighter version

You guys puzzle me

Ok, coming. What textures do you think are too dark? I imagine you guys would like the stone lighter but what about the wooden planks? The terrain (main map and battle/settlement map)?

Sry dude but its too dark ,why? because it is lol

Hi im new one here and got the game this week ..i downloaded that Grahical Enhancement v1.31 standard and i found one problem with it - Helmets are somehow "lightened up" that effect is most noticeable with closed helmets (great helmet, winged great helmet)
Help?

I also came to ask that is there somekind of hi-res weapons mod too?
Because some shields and (all?) weapons (swords, axes. etc) look crappy.
