M&B Crashes Explorer

M&B crashes explorer.  If I turn on the M&B launcher and I press cancel, whatever I do Explorer crashes, it says it performed an illegal operation, If I launch the game, while in the game, if I interrupt the game, for example to paste a screenshot to paint Explorer causes an illegal operation, after I exit the game I have to restart or else Explorer causes an illegal operation, I am getting tired of this and so is my dad who knows M&B is the cause.
I play low quality DX7, Pentium 3, 358 RAM, Ge Force 3 Ti 200, Windows 98, this computer is not connected to the internet so I am virus free, only M&B is the suspect, I know this for a fact because I just have reformatted the hard drive, the only thing installed from the internet is M&B.

Help?

I would take a wild guess and say that perhaps M&B doesn't fully support Win98? I may be wrong though, as there are not many people with Win98 nowadays who play M&B, so there isn't really any feedback for that OS.

No, good thinking but this happens in 0.751 too and M&B works fine, so I think that is not a possibility.

Check you have the latest Win 98 drivers installed for the graphics card and similar hardware.

Run through this - http://netsquirrel.com/msconfig/msconfig_98_and_ME.html and see if that improves things.

You might want to do an AV check too, viruses can be spread by far more than just the internet.

This has been an ongoing problem since before .751 for win98 users. It's a nuisance, but I doubt it's going to be fixed any time soon. I'm afraid you'll probably just have to keep putting up with having to restart after each M&B session or upgrade your OS.

Im glad to know Im not the only one, thanks Sir Hrodberht, I do hope armagan fixes this, fix it armagan please ?
In the meantime I will restart after each session, and if I upgrade Im going linux, I dont like Microsoft,

Well I dont like Mac either.
