Actually not only M&B but Firefox ( I wonder why ) ,maya, bsplayer etc.  either throws exception or crashes.

Try uninstalling VS.NET?

Or possibly reinstalling Windows?

Sounds like its completely screwed your machine. Might be worth scanning for virii or other malware too.

Thanks for the reply.

I had this problem one month ago and uninstalling solved it. But unfortunately i need vs.net now.

I scanned my hard drives with three different programs, it's clean.

I just want to play a movie with bsplayer but a debug window pops up and regardles of the answers it closes bsplayer, mediaplayer runs it fine. M&B's problem is even worse it crashes without saying anything, its really annoying.

If VS.NET is running a process or similar in the background, try closing it down before launching M&B. Sounds like thats what's happening. If all else fails, launch msconfig and stop everything loading then give it a try  - you'll need to go through the list one by one if that works to figure out the name of the vsnet processes (note them down, then just kill them in task manager before you play M&B. Even better, leave them off and try starting them manually when you need them )

I just googled all of my running processes and startup programs   but none of them is vs.net related. I am completely newbie to vs.net so i think there must be a simple option somewhere not to debug programs or something like that.

Don't bother googling them, try turning them off at startup. There's a chance that it is something that is loaded as part of a startup routine, but not activated until called.

Like you said, there's probably an option within vsnet which will stop this kind of thing, but I don't have the program so I wouldn't know

One possibility however is to create a new user account (assuming your using XP) and install vsnet only to that account, leaving the other account for M&B etc. Should stop them interfering, and still allow you to use both programs.

It doesn't help either.

Good idea. I think it might solve my problem.

You can always try to reapply Windows SP2 ... but I really don't know why Visual Studio .NET would affect anything. The only system-type files being installed are for the .NET 2.0 Framework ... which none of your programs listed above use. The IDE itself uses the .NET Framework, so that shouldn't interfere with anything else. Are you using Windows XP? If not, that could be the problem.

do you have an older version of .Net on your machine? I understand that having both can cause problems.
