M&B Crashed at Start, Now everything reset to 0

So recently M&B hasn't been starting at the intro cinematics. Leading me to delete my rgl_config.txt

Now i did this prior within a week and i no longer was able to receive money from my Wool Crafter inside my city. No big deal since i made enough money. And i was also missing my hair, lmao so i now had a bald character

But now after deleting it again. I started the game with no horse, looked at my inventory and it's all missing. I have 0 denars. My character has reset to lvl 1. I have 0 denars. And yeah.

I guess my question is do i have to start over? And what can i do to prevent this in the future. Mine is connected by steam if that's of any help

Start over, it's a rare problem with corrupted saves. Unless your backup save is fine.
