The object of this mod to make small adjustments, add fixes and features to the Native M&B without significantly altering the gameplay and balance, keeping the original spirit of Calradia intact.


For those who miss the days when foraging parties, prisoner trains, and dark knights roamed Calradia, this will bring back the memories.
For those who prefer to play native, this could be a mod to try with some minor enhancements.
For those who would like to use this as base for their new mod, the source code is included.

Updated to v1.1:

- Chance to declare war raised from 1.5% to 10% per week.

- Enabled capturing of Lords when their party is defeated in battle (10% chance).

- Reduced effect of player party size on loot amount by 2, now with a party of 40 you'll get nearly as much loot as with a party of 20 before, etc (like in Native, NPC heroes count for 5 regular troops when calculating loot shares).

- Included Seff's Siege Scenes fix. Now troops can get to their enemies in a siege.

Version 1.0 features

enabled extra item modifiers:
polearms can get 'balanced' and 'heavy'
swords can get 'watered-steel'
bows and crossbows can get 'balanced' and 'heavy'
arrows and bolts can get 'balanced' and 'heavy'

added some disabled items to merchants:
khergit armor and sabre set
steppe caps and other helmets

replaced arrow and bolt in-flight mesh with actual arrows and bolts.

set player and troop attack-interruption threshold to 2, damage less than 2 will not make you flinch.

enabled original faction parties such as patrols, foragers, prisoner trains, messengers.

enabled additional original parties such as refugees, dark knights, black khergit raiders.

slightly reduced rate of experience gain for player, troops, and heroes -- closer to the original.

Sounds perfect.
I would leave out the EGII stuff and add back in the Marnid and Borcha recruiting quests, and maybe make something up for Rolf and Ymira.

Ymira originally had an imcomplete conversation, before she was made into a recruitable hero. It can be found in old versions of Mount & Blade. As for Rolf, you could open Dhorak Keep (where he was Baron Rolf) and add in a quest to recruit him from there. Dhorak Keep, Four Ways Inn, Salt Mine and Training Ground could also be added back in. A handful of stuff that is no longer in-game can be found in this thread.

Ahh... next great mod of master Chel :smile:. You are very skilled in modding, congratulations!
 
That's one thing I would love to see (and "borrow for Band of Warriors :grin: ). I liked when freed troops became their own party as Rescued Prisoners. And I also liked the offer to  join you. That was neat.

The idea to enable original quests for NPCs is a good one.
 
Excellent mod. :grin: It's great to have the REAL Khergits back, and the Black Knights too of course. The two enhancements that I'd really like to see implemented in this are heroes starting out at level 1 with the same amount of stat and skill points as the player, and for the loot screen to sort items by price.
 
you need to make an m&b uberclassic, you know when undead were a faction I would definitly play that.

@Vilhjalmr (rathyr or Nardill?) not exactly but I know it was an extremly long time ago, that doesnt mean that wouldnt be awesome, the factions were nords khergits and undead right? it wouldnt be (extremly)hard, its all native meshes, etc, you could keep the mechanics the same as .903 cos they are awesome just change the factions, well replace rhodoks with undead :grin:

@Erwin" why not,  they can be rather useful, a full rigged body a facial mesh and tex, its all good baseline for us modders.
