After only 2 days of playing M&B like it was my job, I decided to whip up a short little video of some battle scenes to show my friends what a cool game this is.

mblade1.wmv [50mb] make sure to right click / save target as.

This was all recorded during an engagement with a superior force of dark hunters/knights, and yes I am aware that I suck

* Windows media player 9 is required to view this video.

EDIT: My webserver was taken offline, so the video will be unavailable unless someone wants to host it.

Just finished the video ...

I thought you did extremely well for only playing two days.

Great movie ... the music seems somewhat fitting also. Very nice job.

Thanks, though I probably played more in 2 days than most do in a week

To answer your question: yes I used fraps to record the footage, then virtualdub for cutting, and vegas for adding the transitions and whatnot.

The video doesn't work. All I got was a web page with text like this:

i would suggest you to follow instruction, when one does take the time to provide them.

If you follow the instructions, you won't find that page

I had to setup a temporary webserver to host the video, and unfortunately it doesn't send the correct headers to tell your browser what kind of file it is (IE assumes it's html). Real browsers like firefox and opera seem to handle it properly however.

Nice video. I tried making one but found the current screen recorder I have to create lag in the game. I have a good comp so there really shouldn't be any problems there, got any tips on good recording software?

I got the lag as well; it seems fraps cut my FPS by about 2/3 and also upped my mouse sensitivity for some odd reason. It took a while to get used to it, even after lowering mouse sensitity in the controls, but it's still playable as you can see.

As far as recording software goes, a friend of mine recently tried a fraps alternative called GameCam which offers some nice features, but he wasn't too impressed. Overall it seems fraps is the best choice for the cost.

Is it me or just the link above isn't working anymore? Sorry have to ask.

TIA.

CMutton.

My temporary webserver is being quite flaky, and i'll have to take it down altogether tommorow. It should be working again now if anyone wants to download it before it's removed.

eh,in fact the whole game costs me 37mb but your video will take me 50mb :???:
jokin  ,thx very much for your excellent work!

I don't know how many people are likely to download it, but I could probably oblige for a while, until I notice my bandwidth being sucked up. Send me a PM if you still need the space, and I'll give you the email to send it to.
