As for MB2 - according to Ragnor (one of the devs) and an italian interview released in the MB2 sticky in the guildhall the modding system will be entirely overhauled and not feature any module system any more. As all major modding is currently done with the module system, you can safely say that MB2 will not be very similar to MB (from a modding perspective - obviously setting, fighting, etc will be similar).
Do note that this isnt bad news, in fact they have clearly stated that the modding abilities will be expanded rather than restricted.

I wonder how that will work. I hope we can see Brytenwalda again for that as well.
