Hey . There never seem to be anyone in the server? I have only managed to find one server. The one with room for 20 :=
 
I had a ride around these maps a couple of nights ago, and they look good, I hope to play on them soon. I found something you may want to look at though on Wercheg Cliffs:

The fence which my character is looking at in the picture above can be vaulted, and by walking a short way around the hillside, I can climb up the hill and walk into the fort. I think some players might choose to take this route to avoid going up the stairways at the front, which could spoil the map.

I'm aware of that issue with Wercheg Cliffs, and I'm planning on dealing with it at some point soon. The cliff above there needs some more ramparts. I had previously made access through there impossible by using invisible barriers so that the cliffs couldn't be climbed at all, but that had some troubles as well! I'll have to take a look and think of the best way to address these issues.

I've now ported everything to use the 1.113 module system and fixed a lot of bugs in the progress, so the next version should be pretty bug free, and will have some nice features that native Warband is missing. A couple of new maps as well :smile:
 
As promised, I updated the first post with screenshots of all the maps, including the ones included in the next update :smile:
 
Update

0.83 is now downloadable at the repository. What's new:

New maps

Village and River

Village and River is a quaint small map with a small hillside village and a bridge crossing the river to some ruins.

Wasteland

Wasteland is a desolate steppe map with the ruined remains of an old fort in the middle. It is an open map and suits cavalry well.

Tweaks and fixes

- Ported the mod to the 1.113 module system. Hopefully things will be less buggy now.
- Added name of current champion to the arena mode view! More glory for the last man standing :wink:
- Fixed bug with disappearing combatant counter in Arena mode.
- Fixed score display for Battle and similar game modes.
- Fixed floating flags and all bugs related to them.
- Gave falchions to the bandits.
- Other troop inventories tweaked a bit.
- Tweaked Bascinet stats (they were the same for all bascinets, made no sense).
- Tweaked Warhammer (Bec de Corbin) stats. Much more useful now.
- Troops can now only buy one shield initially. No more turtling!
- Defender troops in Siege cannot buy horses anymore.
- Added a few new scene props and textures.

That's it. Download and enjoy :smile: If you haven't yet tried the mod, you might want to check the first post in this thread for some screenshots of the new maps.

Hi, many thanks for testing! I think I got it fixed, but could you still give some more information on the situation when that happened, were you playing alone or against someone, how many players were there? I.e. what lead to the error message. Thanks :smile:

Were you playing against bots by any chance?
 
I played against bots (I think in Arena mode), an bot (see picture) killed me then this error appeared.
Also I met another problem, bandit bots are naked and without weapons.

Okay, thanks. First issue is fixed, and I'll add some gear for the bandit bots.

Nooo - had so much fun playing boxing Arena Mode :razz:

Anyway, nice job!
 
Fantastic mod! Although, while playing Arena, I seemed to spawn on the castle walls when I chose to be a horseman o_O...

Did I forget to mention that this is a nice mod? =D
 
Hey Harmast, I am working on some maps myself, and instead of making my own mappack, it seems like a better idea to consolidate everything together.  Would you be interested in seeing my work, or do you want to keep AN as only your own maps?  Mine are geared mainly for battle mode, and of course it would be up to you weather you want to include them or not.

I'm basically done with 2 of them, I tried porting 2 village scenes over to see how that would work, and I need to finish putting up barriers on some ships on my last one.  I'll post screenshots sometime later.
 
Hey Harmast Im actually in the process of making a few maps would you be willing to take a look at them I have 1 done (its a small.. Interior dungeony map) and a second one about almost done, and I have a few Ideas for other ones that Im going to be working on like a 1v1 fortress map two fortresses one spawn in each.. and an all ship battle map.... So if you want to include the two maps im almost done with in the next update that would be awsome :grin:, i coudl send you screenies if you want
 
Thanks to everyone for their comments, I'm really glad you guys are having fun with the mod! :smile:

As to including maps made by others, I haven't really decided yet which way to go with this. I'll give it a some thoughts though.

On a side note, I am developing a headache because Warband wants to crash every time I include some new custom brfs... Gah. Frustrating.
 
Update

0.85 is up. I made only one or two tiny bug fixes since I was really busy (so bandit bots are still naked). I took out Small Fort and Village as there was a problem with the map, I'll add it back later.

New Maps

Abandoned Fort

Abandoned Fort is a map with overgrown ruins of an old fort and a long, dried riverbed filled with debris.




Woodland Thicket

I made Woodland Thicket just to experiment with making an interesting map with as few scene props as possible. Expect lots of vegetation :wink:




Sarranid Town with Harbour

Sarranid Town with Harbour is a large map with trading port on the outskirts of the desert.



 
fixed that spawn issue in siege harmast if it interests you.  It's over in the forge, same thread. (works for human players only)

love the maps, wish I could steal you :wink:

That's good to hear, I think I'll add the same fix just in case.
