low morale?

I posted something similar to this regarding party size effecting my morale. But this time its totaly wierd... my morale is always average or below average.. even if i win battle vs army of 120 or so with my 51 units it says that i GAINED 1morale!! <--- WTF?! morale battles sized of 20-50 and so has no morale effect at all... Is this is how its supposed to be?.. since it was totaly different at mount and blade before expansion... My leadership is high enough i have food variety and so on.. and its still totaly fked up...

If your company is made up of mixed factions that can have an impact on morale, additionally a variety of food seems to help.  Can anyone comment on the cumulative effect of +morale food?  IE you have 2 loaves of bread which each give +4 does it add to a total gain of +8?

Nop.. all sarranid units .... I doubt it adds up .. thats why it says food variety...
