Listening to love songs all my life it suddenly hit me:
they might actually mean what they and are not just trying to get laid.

I've never been in love and figured you say silly, romantic things to seduce women.
But maybe love makes you crazy and truly believe you only want to be with one person your entire life...

When you're in love do you really think the world will end if the person leaves you?

Love songs make up about 90% of most genres. YOU MUST BE MORE SPECIFIC!!

Edit : Also, silly brain chemistry works in hilarious ways. Love is but an illusion perpetuated by our brains. Ask any married people.

Also, I've been in love a few times, but my total amount of relationships is the grand total of 1.

And it doesn't even really count.

Yeah, if my woman died I'd probably go ahead with my earlier life plan of : get hands on firearm > go to area of extreme oppresion (such as Libya, Somalia, or maybe one those ****ed up Nazi-run towns in Germany) > go down in a blaze of fire. Or just become a career Army man, since it's easier and requires less cajones.

Instead, I'm working and being a middle class citizen, something I'm not fond of.

Five, there's a difference between being in love and being mildly infatuated with someone.

Lawds no, suicide bombing is messy, inefficient and I might hurt someone.

I just have no ambition to live a normal life with out my woman, I'm not a lunatic.

I was speaking in general terms
"I can't live if living is without you". Do some people really feel that?

I get bored being with one person for more than a few weeks - or even days.
But I'm thinking love could change that...

Being in love sucked hard.  I resist going there now with every shred of my being.  Thing is, when the real deal hits, there isn't much you can do about it.

It's like being insane and enslaved at the same time.  Yep, one is capable of incredibly stupid **** when "in love" with one who loves not, or not enough, or "in a different way" [hacks].  The odds of falling in love with someone who truly loves you in kind are less than slim.  But try telling yourself that when you're infected.  Because it is possible, and you want it so bad ... as I said: stupid ****.

Apparently two people can actually fall in love with each other.  This would be pure awesome, but having experienced the one-sided facsimile intensely on a couple of extended occasions, I don't think it's worth the risk.  **** can **** you up for a long time, and "same time next week/month/year" meets basic needs and is a lot less complicated.

I feel that way to an extent. I wouldn't suicide if my wife died, but I certainly wouldn't be working at a Games Workshop either.

I've been with her for nearly four years now and I'm not bored of her so.. *shrug*

I would like to point many people have taken their infatuations to absurd, melodramatic heights. Especially if they are waning on suicide at the mere thought of the target of their affections rejecting them. Far too many people delude themselves into thinking they are in love, then realise they hardly even like the person a month later.

Edit: Oh god I forget to add the 'n't' to my would's. That probably made the whole post look retarded.

why did all of the awesome music like this die out in the 80's? I mean I wish I was born in the 80's so I could witness all of this coming true. Things aren't as cool as they used to be. Thumbs up if you agree!
That stupid, if you were born in the 80's you still wouldn't witness them because you'd be an infant. Also, at least some of the people thumbing up were born in the late 80's.

Lol ... I actually saw Foreigner, long after their heyday in the mid '90s, at a dinner show at Konocti Harbor Inn, Clear Lake, CA--with one of the failures I was alluding to above.  Too weird that you'd post this link.

What's funny is I feel the exact same way. Nearly word for word. My earlier life plan was to be a career soldier too.

Bummer about them, I like their music.
