Love the Mod, but there is just one thing...

First off, I just DL'd the mod yesterday and played it till 530 in the morning (and had work at 9), so obviously I loved it.  Prior to this I had thought POP was the best mod, but you guys have way more features and quests, and I am also a fan of history period (dark ages in early Briton).
My only complaint would be about the honor system.  I think it is a little too strict.  Especially for the Pagan players (like me).  It is a fact that the Druids sacrificed prisoners from battles, and all religions at that time had slaves.  Yet if I put prisoners to work in mines I get negative honor? This seems to me more like something from a later era.
It seems like this mod gives you the option to play a warlord, almost a viking, but yet it makes it too painful to do so by basically making everyone hate you.  I would think if I was playing as a pagan and out looting and burning christian villages that at the very least the Pagans would not view that as dishonorable.

Similar issues come up when you get a prompt saying your men have raped a woman, or impregnated someone.  I always give the answer to pay her or whatever because I know if I do not I would lose honor. But in those days, even during the middle ages when everyone was christian, no one would have cared. At least in the nobility.  To nobility the peasants were nothing, and during times of war (even during peacetime) nobility regularly raped and murdered peasants with no thought of dishonor.

The other thing I noticed is that the reward for pillaging and looting doesnt seem to be enough.  I captured a town after killing 450 men of its garrison, and losing 100 of mine in the process, but the loot and pillage option would have only given me 1500 shillings.  And that happens to be the same cost as buying some whores for my men?  Does anyone else sense a bit of imbalance in the rewards / costs?  Looting and burning an entire town (not a village) should give quite a bit more than 1500, at least 10,000 IMO.  Otherwise whores must be the wealthiest people in the world at that time.

Anyway that is just my 2 cents, and I still love the mod.
thanks for all your work.

I actually find honour too easy to achieve, just make sure that you bury your foes after each battle. Although I somewhat agree with you, in an age of barbarism, lawlessness and anarchy I imagine most people would have been lacking 'honour' in the eyes of someone somewhere. Perhaps the consequences of lacking honour should be toned down if it's possible?

I would suggest just getting rid of honor and make pagan vs christian more important since the honor aspect is way too subjective and based off morality from a christian point of view which wasn't the majorty world view at this time. Seems like the companions should be changed so that they care less about what goes on aswell, since very few people would have cared about looting villiages especially the hardened warriors like ciniod, or maybe make more pagan warriors? Great mod btw, just trying to make some suggestions so that you can have a better playthrough as pagan warlords.

I think that 'Honour' is far too embedded into Native, if you removed it you would have to change other things such as how relationships between the player and other lords progress, at least I think this is the case. A slight decrease in the amount of honour lost when performing some activities would do surely?

Yea its probally too difficult to remove, but maybe just remove the morality aspect of it? I would expect the most important features of a lord of this time would be to honor agreements, pay his soldiers well and be loyal to his warband and vassals. This would increase how many lords would wish to serve him, instead they care more about if you release prisoners and don't loot villiages and put slaves in salt mines... doesn't make sense to me. Maybe change it to loyalty?

i have a major problem i changed to the old celtic gods and i took over a town im now trying to convert it but im under attack constantly so i had to make my companions lords they helped a bit by going off and pillaging there villages but to make it so they wouldnt come back after to me i killed every lord i captured i killed about 7 lords it took me about 4 hours to do but my army was 400 men strong and most of them were cavalry so i ran them down, but to the point i found out killing lords takes your honour down alot and now i have -297 honour and it will be a very long time before i get it back to 0 so im screwed

1. yes, honour system is a bit too strict.
2. DEFINITELY. looting a town should give you way more than 1500 scillingas as you loose a lot of men also.
besieging/looting a town should be worth the act!

one other thing:
if you play realistic upgrade for troops, its really sad if you loose those troops you trained for weeks/months in a siege battle and then you only get something like 1.500. i mean you get 1.500 winning a tournament! so it MUST be worth the lost of troops when looting a town - with a reward of 25.000-35.000 even (the loot of a town should be at minimum as much worth as a ship!)! otherwise its not attractive at all to loot a town, which could destroy this great feature.

We are fixing issues mainly. However, I dont understand well why actual system dont like you

its not about the honour system, i can live with that.
its about the amount of scillingas you get from looting a town or castle (see comment above).
i think it would really make sense to rework this, dont you think?
