Lost Savegame

Hello.

I was playing native expansion 580 and was about to save my game, when the computer froze. I even had to press the reset button on my computer. Once restarted, I started the game, and my save file is gone. It's not corrupted or anything, it just isn't there. The file seems completly gone, it's not even in the M&B save folder! 

I'm running XP.

Please tell me this can be fixed... Gulp.

Can not be fixed... why I always say, save often (and to different save files).

Try restoring from the autosave. Turn on the show hidden files in the folder options, look for the autosave (IIRC it's auto.sav or similar), copy it and rename it to one of the save files. Should have saved last time you entered/exited a town or battle.

This would restore his whole computer though wouldn't it? Anything done between saves would also be lost. Unless you can restore a specific exe save point which I never knew was possible.

The game saves automatically to a hidden file whenever you play a battle, enter or exit a town or similar. It's used for ironman mode, but it comes in handy for those times you forget to save.
