Lost my companion - SOLVED

When I got my first castle I appointed one of my companion as minister, but after I lost that castle he is gone.... and when I got another castle i had to appoint another companion... so my first companion is gone and i can find him... (tried many castles through whole map, but he is nowhere)


btw his name is "Peter" so if anyone know what religion he is I can try castle there....

found old similar thread... seems like M&B bug

If it says attempting to rejoin party and she didn't re-appear as minister, then it is most likely she's lost in the ether and one of the companion-tracking variables is goofed. (There seem to be a few holes in the code where this can happen.)

I'd suggest:

Alright, open your simple_triggers.txt file and go to the bottom

Replace one of the

24.000000  0

lines

with

0.000000  2 2147483758 1 360287970189639884 1610 3 648518346341351424 360287970189639884 1

Start your game, Bunduk Katrin should pop into your party. Save your game, and then change your simple_triggers.txt file back.

I cannot guarantee that all of her various tracking variables will be set correctly, so might best to save the game as a new game, change your file back, then send her on a spy mission or something quick and double check that she comes back.
