Lords Useless During Siege

On Xbox One:

I made a kingdom and made myself Marshall of said kingdom. I'm finding it a little difficult to add to my kingdom due to only being able to carry 120 or so troops with me, but I figured a nice little workaround for that works on castles. See, all I have to do is make a campaign, give my lords the troops we need to take the castle, and then siege/conquer the castle. I have an engineer skill of 8 so castle siege equipment doesn't take that long to build.

Cities, on the other hand, I cannot do this to. My lords simply won't follow me long enough, despite the fact that I'm their king and Marshall and we have good relationships. The lowest relationship with a lord I have is +8.

Here is what happens.

1. Start campaign, some lords come. Hunt down the rest and give them the task to follow me.
2. Get near city and end the campaign and start another one. Give lords the task again.
3. Building siege equipment takes 42 hours. Lords don't sit still that long. Maybe 12-20 hours tops, but I always end up having to abandon the siege and chase them back down.
4. Rinse and repeat.

This didn't happen to me on PC, but on the other hand I did kind of play with cheats a lot...

Anyways, does anyone else have this issue? Anybody know a fix or a workaround?

I figured it out on my own. Had to read a lot of the wiki lol

For anyone wondering Lords will only follow you for a certain amount of time regardless of your status with them, apparently. Even if you've started a campaign and even given each lord the 'Follow Me' task, they will only hang out for a few days at most if you are standing still. So Lords will usually wander off after 24 hours of a siege.

Some may stick around longer than that, but I haven't seen one that will stay 48 or more hours.

If you have a high reputation with them they will stay. Even in a 90 hour siege all my loyal lords stayed and those that were ambivalent or disliked me effed off.
