Lord's Changed (secretly)

I really don't understand this latest trend in gaming which is making characters look as ugly as possible. What is the point here exactly?
Taleworlds can learn a thing or two from their fellow developers in Warhorse about not pandering to certain interest groups.

Is there a possibility this is a feature? I mean I am in my third playthrough and Monchug appearance and other Khuzait lords appearance changed for each play playthrough. I didn't pay attention to other faction lords.
I really hope that it's not a feature because these new portraits are very awful. They need WAY more refining and alterations.

I will take a guess without looking at the code and say then:
- The code might have gotten corrupted and a key feature(s) make(s) everyone look slightly or more different
- There is an actual randomizer for each playthrough
- TaleWorlds actually has majorly different taste in looks

If this is how it is going to be from the beta on, I might have to adjust everyones faces via mods myself then. That would be unfortunate for me.
I of course do not mind people looking ugly... But they should look human at least and not like clowns.
I might try a blue lipsticky makeup myself, doesn't mean I turn into a clown with no resemblence of humans...

Faced some changes.

I play beta 1.3.0 from the moment of availability. Yesterday, suddenly creating a new game, I discovered that the appearance of the Nobles was changed. When they managed to make changes, and is there an opportunity to roll back to previous appearance (I miss Abagai)

Actually I like the new one more. She looks more appriopriate. And maybe it is possible, that she's lost her initial armour in some battle and bought the one you see her with? Or maybe there's some space for randomization when they spawn? I am not sure if she's one of the main clan members, but maybe she's randomly generated just as wanderers are?
I've started several NewGames for checking and noticed that Armor is some kind of randomed. For Many nobles (checked on Lienna, Svana). She is the daughter of the head of the Arkit tribe.

Do you mean that every time you start the new campaign on the same version of the game, the appearance of the Lords change randomly?

Stuff like this is all down to perspective as i stated above for those of you unhappy with any changes just dl the DCC mod and change any NPC you don't like yourself.

As for changing appearance, you can do that. Install e1.2.0 through Steam,Use Detailed Character Creation in 1.2.0 and copy Abagai's appearance code when modifying her appearance, then download e1.3.0 again and use that code on her.

PM me if for whatever reason you want me to fetch it for you.
Thank you, mate!
I have old save file with previous appearance "cute vers of Abagai" - loadable. It works on 1.3.0 so there is no need of Installing 1.2.0 vers.
Just didn't try to use Detailed Character Creation before and it's seems tedious to me. Well, time to try to use it!

Well, in that case I need a team who'll help me in changing each and every NPC in Calradia then

But, being serious, I hope it's just a bug or something and the faces will be fixed in the upcoming update.

No offense but why should they make changes based on your opinion of them ? as i said it is perspective.
You will never please everyone and your attitutde is change it to my liking well what if i dont like what you like and they change it.
Does that mean i can then complain and they have to change them again rinse and repeat for eternity ?
This is just aesthetics it is nothing game breaking and like i said if it bothers you that much change them yourself changing every NPC is just being overly dramatic.

Well people, that is totaly broked up

My character changed gender. Now this Temun man is woman :mrgreen::mrgreen:

Hey thanks for the suggestion, I may want to try this, can you explain where the code can be found and copied? I have version 1.2.1 so can I still do this? So far Abagai has not changed in my game so I guess it applies only to a new save and having the option would be nice, thanks

There's a mod called Detailed Character Creation which allows you, among other things, to edit the appearance of any NPCs in the game, just like your own character (and adds more settings, but we won't need that here).

When you install it, it adds a button called "edit appearance" in the Encyclopedia entry for lords and the like. Open the entry for Abagai (N - Heroes - Abagai), click "edit appearance", then when the editor is opened, press Ctrl + C

It copies the "body code" that is currently in the character editor in your clipboard. In that case, it will be Abagai.

Paste the result in some txt document of your choosing and save it.

Now if you copy that code into the clipboard and press Ctrl + V when editing character appearance, it will change the character you're editing to that face and body.

Once you create a new save, you can use the Encyclopedia again to paste that face onto NPCs in-game (find Abagai again, open the editor from her page, then Ctrl + V), or you can use it in character creation to make YOUR character look like Abagai. Once you save changes and then save the game, the face will be set for that save, so you don't even need DCC active anymore. It doesn't carry over to other playthroughs, though, so keep the code saved.

There's probably a more optimal solution or a mod that returns old faces, but I'm unaware of such. If you have the save with old Abagai face, you just need to install the mod and copy her code, so that's easy enough as is.

Well said, but unfortunately I don't see it happening. It's pretty clear that TaleWorlds has become a little too woke, but I'm sure mods will fix it eventually.

My latest playthough had a few characters that are basically kids with very high stats. Although their age shows up as ~24.
Entered an arena in Styrgia , one of the the contenters was a styrgian noble hobbit than run like Usain bolt.
Couldn't even land a hit on him on spear vs spear because his shield was as big as him and i got absolutely destroyed.
Think it was a side effect of DCC though , so i've never reported anything.
