Looters and disposal thereof

So I have noticed on my playthrough that there are looters spawning consistently in large packs in an area of the map I own. Western half of Stergia.

They aren't a threat to me, but they apparently spend their time gobbling up villager groups and starving the castles in that area.

I have remedied this by getting the "Improved Garrison" mod, which allows me to assign garrison troops to patrol, but is there some sort of function in the base game to deal with this problem short of spending all my time hunting down looters personally?

I have three other parties but they are far more interested in helping other lords make war than killing bandits around my property.
 
Nope. Nothing. And the game just make more bandits and hideouts everyday for no reason. When you make a kingdom if you do your best to have 1 fief per clan (this includes you...) it can help a little just as there's more parties going back to each fief, but there's nothing you can directly do about it. It's really stupid that there's no manhunters and the AI is too stupid to make small parties that can catch all the bandits and they won't proactively clear a hideout, even if the -security is ****ing their own fief..

This is why I'm really coming to dislike armies in the game. Your parties constantly get recruited into one and are never taking care of bandits or defending your fiefs.

If I recall correctly, bandit party size is tied to your clan's tier, and they all get increased as you tier up. This just means that the problem gets worse the more you play, which is pretty stupid. The game doesn't offer any mechanism to counter bandits and they are simply a nuisance, they don't make gameplay interesting in any way. Clearing your 50th hideout in a playthrough isn't fun.
 
Then, there should definitely be an option to issue more specific orders to your roving parties.

"Patrol around this castle."
"Do not join/join armies from other clans."
"Kill every looter party in a twenty mile radius."

If modders can do it, I'm sure at least some basic functionality like that could be added to the native game.

Stuff like this was asked for sometime ago but they won't do it. All we got was the ability to make clan members either offensive, defensive, or neutral mindset. If we ever want more than that it's going to be up to modders.
