Looking for subpar CPU advice

So, I was not planning on upgrading my desktop until later 2020. As CPU I have a i3-4350, which has 4 logical cores at 3,6 GHz (2 physical cores with hyperthreading), but the recommended minimum is a i3-8100 with 4 physical cores, also at 3,6 GHz. For RAM and GPU the minimum requirements are met, with 8 Gb of RAM and a Gtx 750 ti, and it would be installed in a SSD.

How bad could Bannerlord run, with lowest battle size and lowest physics settings? Anyone in a similar predicament?

Should I wait until my upgrade or could it be playable?

It's pretty impossible to tell whether the game would be playable for you (performance is all over the place) until you try it, but yeah, I'd say that could be a problem. The RAM could be a problem as well -- I also have 8GB and I had to mess with pagefile settings in order to make the game reasonably playable, and the rest of my rig is significantly better than yours.

For me on an I5-8265U(ultrabook) Mx150 and 8 Gbs multiplayer runs fine around 40 fps. I haven't played campaign yet. But as mentioned before performance is wildly different per person. Read around the thread and probably wait a month until you buy the game. Or buy now and keep it for later

Depending on your situation the current price breaks could be worth it, even if you end up not playing on your current rig.

What did you do with the paging file? I'm in the same boat as you and have slowly getting more play-ability.... though still fare worse then what I expected.

You can find instructions regarding the pagefile in this thread. I simply moved it from my HDD to SSD without changing anything unlike what the thread suggests, and that almost completely eliminated stutters (I have 8 GB RAM). Still, CPU bottlenecks with many players/bots on screen.
