Looking for Regiment

I am forced to tolerate it because yes, it is widely accepted. But I myself refuse to succumb using it. But I will definitely keep you guys posted on the progress of a Swear-Free Regiment

I'd say go for it and make one, but I think you'd be needing to sort out a few with similar views to you first so and then try and recruit more.

Well you never know the outcome til you put in the input, so i say all the best and good luck, who knows you might find or make a very prosperous regiment  if you require any assistance the administrative team are happy to help

I'm the current captain of the 27e, soon to become the 1st Westphalian Infantry Regiment.

I can't guarantee you that there isn't swearing, as there are definitely a few members who do swear in our regiment, but all in all, vulgarity doesn't fit our culture and standards. I'm Christian myself, as are quite a few others in the regiment.

While I was tempted to make a rule regarding vulgarity, I chose not to be too strict with it, because I am concerned also with something else; accepting people for who they are.  Unfortunately, profanity is a pretty large part of our modern culture, even if a worthless one, and many good people are assimilated into that culture.  To me, giving others a certain amount of freedom, and accepting them for who they are and where they are at, is a large part of what being "Christian" is about.

As it is currently, we have a rule against excessive vulgarity, but we don't do anything about occasional swearing.  I do know that one of our up-coming lieutenants swears, but everyone else doesn't really.  Another great thing is that we operate by a platoon system, so for example, you can be in a different platoon as the aforementioned lieutenant.  So, if you're fine with that, you're very welcomed to join us, and I think you'll find a lot of like-minded players.

If you do decide to make your own regiment though, I wish you the best of luck!

Swear-free clans aren't an absolute no-no.  There are a few guys knocking about on these forums (hello 29th!) who are part of a Darkest Hour (WW2 MP FPS) clan that has a no swearing policy.  That clan has 200+  members so it's not impossible.  I'm not a member, but one of the reasons I play on their servers is that rule.  This rule isn't in place for any religious reason - it just makes playing more harmonious.

Despite my nick, I'm an atheist, but I do endorse no swearing policies

DRINK! DRINK!

Sorry couldn't resist.

My regiment is a realism regiment meaning we run our regiment as close to how a real one would function. I am a reenactor in real life and also belong to many different Scottish clans. Swearing is looked down upon in my regiment and very seldom do I hear people curse if at all. If you'd be interested add me on Steam (fulltimeevil) and I can give you the Teamspeak information. You can chat with some of the guys and get a feeling for the atmosphere before you make any sort of commitment. Although I cannot control what everyone says, I am also a firm believer in a no swearing policy. I hope this helps you a bit, and I wish you the best of luck in your search.
