Looking for a mod...

Hello, been awhile since I've logged on, got busy with life for awhile.  =)  For those of you that don't remember, I posted that story awhile back about Michael that won me a key.

Anyways, back to the subject:

I'm looking for a mod that basically fleshes out the Native Mount and Blade game.  I like the general balance of the vanilla game, but I'd like something that expands on it without nuking or nerfing the weapons.  I remember reading about a few mods out there, but I can't seem to find them.  Anyways, anyone have some suggestions?  I tried the pirate mod, but lost interest pretty quickly.  The expanded gameplay didn't keep me very long either, because of the balancing issues I mentioned.

I remember something about capturable towns and outposts that you could lose control of.  The concept of troops stationed at a castle actually having a purpose there sounds pretty cool.  A bit more micromanagement of troops would be awesome.  It'd be pretty neat if every troop was considered a "hero" like Borcha, but could also die, that way every infantry you had could be defined, and money would play a much more important role.  Something that would have diverse battlefields, maybe even including ones where horses are simply impracticle.

Also, if someone could point me in the direction of the one "fix" that made battlefields a little more realistic and not covered with hills like it is.  One or two big hills can be interesting, but feeling like I'm fighting on a smaller model of the Himalayas gets pretty awkward.

Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated.  Heck, if something doesn't really fit with what I'm looking for, but is still awesome enough to check out, lemme know about that too.  Thanks again!

There's capturable towns and such, and it has a sort of "native-y" feel.

I think 1066 is your answer, I think it wont have crazy hills in the upcomming version (however you will have to pay for it).

And extra npc/dionisia, but I think Hardcode didnt fully balance out the weapons yet.

Craftmod looks pretty interesting.  I've downloaded it and played it a bit.  So far, haven't really experienced the mod yet.  But I like the fact that it stays true to the original game.  Getting back into M&B is making me want to take a shot at the modding.  Sucks that I never try to learn the coding bits.  Of course, I'd be more interested in the story bits.  If I ever get around to actually learning the stuff, a mod based around Michael may be interesting.  A thief turned hero.
