This is a personal log I decided to start writing as a whim. I did not use the sticky because I may (or may not) post more logs here occasionally, and it's not really a story.
Day 382-386
Tales of the King: Ragnaroth
8th of April, Year of the Old Kingdom Pendor, 355
I observe a bloody combat between the Fierds and D'shar, it seems the defector, Bahman, has the upper hand in this battle. It is not worth taking part of this battle however much I want to put an arrow in the head of the bastard who raided one of my villages in the past, the Horde has many honourable, and fiersome lords who have hundreds of men under their command. Not yet.
I meet Aedin Redsword, a warrior. I chat with him and we part ways, he to battle and I to Avendor. He is a loyal vassal.
9th
I hear that Bahman has lost a battle and turned tail. It is unclear who defeated him. Perhaps I was wrong. I Meet 150-strong heretics who ran from me, I could have slaughtered them but I cannot afford to chase them down, time is of the essense.
Another nameless lord in Shar founds another nameless order, I could strike down three of them in hand-to-hand combat. Horde lords are all content with their leader even after I have made home in Valonbray, perhaps I will have better luck in Marleons.
Just as I arrive at Marleons after a night-long ride, I hear that I am invaded by vanskerries. Damn curs have not learned their lesson even after I have killed hundreds of them. Personally.
10th
Ah... Marleons, the last bastion of the Great King Ulric, whom I have captured a dozen times and ransomed a dozen times. His useless knights do not know how to hold a shield and his squires cannot duel.
The Lord of the town is absent. I replenish my provisions and listen to whispers of the travelers. The guildmaster tells me nothing of value, that snake.
I see a band of Empire lords, then meet Eric in Talon. His guards tell me that his court is currently unavailable and I ask for a parley. I think him a fool and he dispises the very sight of me. I head to Laria.
Passing the Seven Cross lets me witness a battle between Ulric and the entire Empire host. Poor bastard.
Laria is now Empire's but its neighboring castles are still under Sarleon rule. I find many Sarleon lords cowering in Whitestag, fearing the thousand-and-half strong Empire army. Unfortunately, I will need them in my fight against the might of the Horde. They tell me that they are losing the war, nothing I did not know before.
11th
A battle between a Noldor lord Ithil and Warlord Zulkar! I would have taken part if it wat not already finished. Zulkar himself left the battle and his 60 men are pitted against 500 Noldor, not a pretty sight. I did not stay around to watch.
I meet Hereward and Leofric near Valorshield. It seems that they value their honor more than their friendship with me, a pity. On the way back, I see Ithilrandir ride away from the battle with now 600 men. Perhaps he could be the salvation Sarleon needs, but then he could also seal their doom.
A turncoat, Aeldfried, greets me. He now hunts Sarleon lords and peasant alike, and seems to like it. Just as he loots Ehlerdah with Decimus, bands of Noldor ride down drive them away, albeit too late for the village to survive. I decide to wait around to see if any of the Sarleon lords wishes to abandon his lost cause... I may have to stay here for a while.
12th
My prediction was wrong. Some of Ulric's lords came out of hiding but did not listen to my proposals. I had to head back to Sarleon emptyhanded. However, I rejuvenated myself with promise of great battles to come, for the worse the odds are, the greater my victory will be. I will wage war against thousands of Fierdsvain warriors, with my five loyal (and some not very) lords under my command. It has been decided. I will head back to Valonbray and declare war on the Koningur of Fierdsvain. I will have little time to write now, for the time of war is now.
