Sorry to say this again, but wouldn't it be more fun and realistic if your troops could move in formation and not just run like headless chickhens? And when defending agains cavalry they could form a phalanx of spears (witch would hit the cavalry automatically), or just assault the enemy from behind. This would give a lot more exitement to game. What do you think?
