Three new systems blew my mind in Bannerlord. Death of heroes, aging, and the possibility of having a child.
They say that when you die of old age, you become your first child. I tried that, but this never happened to me. The best I could do was "waiting at speed 3" until my character reached 50 years old, with about 30 children. To my surprise, at 18y the firstborn changed from a baby to a young member of my party. And that's basically it. This sucks for players like me, who want to raise generations of warlords.
The easy way to solve these systems would be implement a “wait speed 4” or “wait speed 5” and regulate the spawn of babies. The hard, but more fulfillment way, would be implement some sort of “lineage mode”. In which, your main character would last 20 hours of gameplay tops and than you play as the first born. But here is the thing, as generations pass by, the disposition of settlements in the map changes according to kingdom policies. Besides that, your clan starts to develop branches, and you risk losing everything you have to a ambitious brother or cousin.
