Light & Darkness - Chapter II Previews
In the new chapter, the wars will become white-hot on Calraida, and you will encounter more struggles and make your choices as part of the future history.
As the story goes, the five kingdoms will present different states; the history of Leon, Mediuz and the gems will be revealed gradually; and there will be more thinking about the war as well as the existence of the human being.

The followings are some screenshots and the brief introduction. Also on the forum, we will announce L&D news for every stages, and welcome your feedback as always.
New features in the battle system: Stamina, weakness and execution. (2016.9.21)
Today we would like to preview some new features of the battle system that we make for Light and Darkness II. The new chapter will bring full experience of epic battles of seige and defence, many spots just for players and NPCs to adventure, and some speical sites only for players to explore. Cooperated with the 'bounce-attack', 'shield-bounce' and slow motion, the fighting experience becomes more exciting with more fun.
A. Stamina.
a) Any attack consumes the stamina, which is related with player's data such as strength and proficency. Longer or heavier weapons consume more.
b) (Gif1) While the green glowing turns dark and flshes fast, the stamina will go down to the limit. If you run out of stamina, the following attack will consume energy.
c) (Gif2) If energy is consumed up, you will have to get a breather for a few seconds defencelessly.

B. Weakness and execution.
Most of the creatures have their weakness. Hit the weakness, and you can do more damage. If you cause enough damage to the weakness, the enemy will breathe for seconds or even fall to the ground so that you can do the execution (click 'F') and additonally recover your energy.
There are various actions designed for different arms, for example,

Two-hand weapon
These new features will be added to the Halloween Specials and we will re-start our server for the multiplayer mod soon.

When the character falls, the death view will be on automatically, so that the player may continue watching the fight or retreat from the battle.

Many new settings. The following screenshot shows the settings for slow motion, such as randomly occurs, damage to some extent, kill in distance, some specific situations.

News arrive 'Slow Motion'. Updated (May 16, 2013)
In a certain way, there will start a new function for slow motion shot. I feel lucky to achieve it and excited to share you the impressive shots, though there's still some problem to be solved perfectly. Whatever I can do with it in the future, this is something I have been pursuing all the way. Cheers, all!

Siege weapons. Updated (May 4, 2013) .
Open the 'Build Siege Instruments' panel. There are not only one for each kind of the instrument, and it requires higher Engineer Skill to build the more advanced instruments.
Thanks for the ballista model made by and800.
The ballista is considered to be used the defender only, but unnecessary. Like the catapult, in default there will be some AI soldiers around the ballista to guard and fire automatically unless if there's no guards around it.
In the following screenshots show the multiple ballista, which has strong power but low hit rate. There's also single ballista with strong power and high hit rate but small sputtering range.
You can operate the ballista by yourself for better hits.
If the city has abundant soldiers, the defender will send some troops out for aggressive attacks. So the siege party must protect the siege instruments (such as catapult, ballista, siege tower, etc.) from the defenders' hits until the walls/gates have been broken.

Catapult: You can adjust the direction and firing range. The flying stone brings damage to buildings and devices such as city walls and city gate, and also to the soldiers on both sides.
The city gate can be opened from the inside or broken by catapult or weapons. There are several walls to be detroyed, many routes for attacking, and more reinforcements and spawning spots for defending.

There will be some invisible enemies or gears by ancient magics in the specific scenes such as cave, dungeon, etc. So you might not want to try forgetting the 'Mirror of Truth' then.
