Fairly new to VC so trying to get an idea at what difficulty setting most are playing at. Ive got player and ai set to normal and good which I think is the highest in that group of settings. Ive got stamina and armor incumbency, gore on. I don't use easy recruiting nor the insane damage. I believe my difficulty percentage is 83. also trying to balance the armor incumbency, should I just go ahead and armor up because Im just getting clobbered with that light stuff on. Im still early on in the sandbox version. Thanks for any feedback. edit; version 1.04, shield bash off, ai can hold position

I play with everything maxed, but I have been playing Mount and Blade for years.

Even so, my first game in VC was played with everything at minimum. The game is still challenging, and I think much more fun when you are learning, if it gets easy, you can always turn it up at any time.

As for the options, I think Stamina, Armor Penalty, and Resting Morale Impact are musts to fully enjoy VC, as they were made for it.

Gore is a personal choice.

Easy Recruiting I have never tried, which I guess says it is unnecessary.

INSANE DAMAGE is well INSANE and as it says is an option for experienced players.  It is a nice option for those who have so mastered the game that they need an extra challenge to keep from becoming bored.
