Watching the third part.
Why u no use ctrl+a / ctrl+s when you still recruit&capture everyone? NVM, I see you remembered about them in the end.

And there is no need to switch back to "normal" inventory to move items on the trade screen.
Right mouse button.

Is there a difference between the leaf bombs you get from the quest and those you can get from the Aroulo later on?
Nope. But theyre free and super useful against early game enemies.

That's a pretty tough start. You have to kill 3 Aroulos who are practically on top of you with nothing but a dagger. And you don't even start with enough PT to use the leaf bombs if you manage to loot them

True. I can usually do it by sprinting at the hurler and then killing the others normally

Starting with the intention to help the Geldar vs the Elintor.
And in episode #004 I got a quest to make peace between the two.

I wonder how likely that is.  :iamamoron:

Shame on me.

hello plasquar, good to see another warband lets play from you!!

what does hard mode exactly do?
and how can you save geldar? they always die within the first 100 days for me.

what does hard mode exactly do?
Forced maximal game difficulty settings (except manual lance control) and fog of war.
On being knocked out in combat you can lose skill point in random skill with a chance.
Weapons can break or be damaged in combat.
More bandits and minor faction parties and they have more units.
and how can you save geldar? they always die within the first 100 days for me.
You need to babysit them from the begining - hard, but possible. After taking any walled fief from Elintor it becomes much easier.

Couldn't have said it any better.

Every playthrough is unique.
While Geldar may vanish for you in the first 100 days they may survive until the end for others.

Try to play on Hard Mod with a Giant Character after this playthrough or something.

Nice vids btw, subscribed.

There will be another playthrough after that for sure.
I thought about giant and dwarf as well, never finished Perisno with either of them.

thank you!!

but how do you get geldar stronger? you have to attack a castle alone, right? there is only 1 lord who could help you but that is not enough?

(long time lurker, forgot I even had an account for this forum but I've been a fan of Perisno since first trying it back in March, my experience is still limited to 0.8 )

After my first exploratory playthrough, I decided the Geldar were pretty awesome. I liked the infantry and archers were the same unit. I liked it was elves but worse at archery for better melee, and I liked the idea of the challenge. When I started I went to the Geldar lands immediately. I started to recruit mercs from Elintor taverns and elinter troops since Geldar recruitment options are initially pretty limited. I would frequently travel out to Maccavia and the Reich to cut my teeth on snow crawllers, then swing back to Azure keep. When ever one of the Geldar armies were in battle I went to help out, my understanding is they don't respawn so keeping them alive as long as possible was important. This of course got me on the bad side of Elintor, swinging to Maccavia became dangerous as I was basiclly an Elintor outlaw, and it was interesting to play like 'a bad guy' without roleplaying the bad guy as the guerilla war continued. I accepted the vassal offer as soon it was available, maybe not smart, but I did. As my army and I got stronger, I started being able to weaken Elintor, taking out small armies and patrols. On occasion I would manage to raid a village, this hampered Elintor to a point where they never really managed to make much headway into Geldar territory.

The the Zann happened, and it was time to take advantage of everything. The goal was simple, use the invasion force to cause as much attrition to both sides as possible. I helped Zann take a keep, I helped defend Forniron, I couldn't allow either side full steamroll the other. Because of this the opportunity finally came and I captured the first extra keep for Geldar, a stepping stone. The Elintor had failed to seige for their keep back from the Zann, and I took out the few defenders that were left for ourselves.

It would not have been very entertaining for Twitch or Youtube, but I had a lot of fun with it. I think when I find time to open 0.9 I'll have to try the Creatas Monarchy.

It was hard with increased garrisons size, but with party of ~150 on your side and ~200 on his quite doable (Geldar have strongest foot archers don't forget that). But now with reduced garrisons boasting it's not so big of a problem to storm Ianthas for example, you just need some strong infantry/elite heavy cavalry to storm the walls and provide cover to Oroe's archers (custom mercs or top-tier tolranians will do)

Cretas is veeery passive, but considering their only really strong unit is top-tier foot archer it's challenging when comes to war)

I pretty much agree with everything you said McJigg.

That is usually a safe way to conquer new stuff.
I might do the same.

Interesting, I just saw that in the changelog.

Either wait for the Zann invasion or any other castle that got besieged recently.
The garrison could be kinda small. Or wait for a failed siege.

awesome plas, your series is renowned on youtube

but how do you defend the first castle you got?
the elintor or zann will come with a lot of lords to get it back.

i am trying to start my empire but if i get any castle, they get it back fast.

I'm also trying to run a Geldar campaign and I'm trying to use the Hired Mercs tree to supplement the Geldar tree. Which brings me to the question: How woud you create such troops? I'm pretty bad to create something that resemble the Geldar and it's quite hard to make your character look like Geldar and not Elintoran/Realm of the Falcon, for example (they have an edge over Geldar in terms of equipment).
